“Here’s to good line company, yeah?” Liliana acknowledged, motioning toward the semi paced line and the adventures ahead. If anything, she was questioning the bartenders and their slow asses. “Shit, I’m slow.” Mumbling underneath her breath, she shook her head in disappointment. “Wise enough, my own foolish fault as a lawyer to not know slightest. I thought of being a good child tonight without my drinking. Nope,” she sucked in a breath. “Better than being home though. I can’t complain to dress up and look cute for myself. I love your outfit, by the way.”
“Absolutely.” The blonde chuckled at the other woman. If they weren’t in a fancy event, Gia would shamelessly cut the line. “Nah, you are probably normal. I am just fast.” She chuckled, then shrugged her shoulders. “Are you a lawyer? Well fuck, I just revealed all my shady secrets in front of you. Pft, being good is overrated.” Gia teased. “Definitely. Thanks, most people thought I am a high end hooker.” Another laugh. “I love yours too. To be honest, I didn’t buy anything for this event. I’ve bought this one ages ago. A girl always needs a latex dress in her closet.

Emily felt overwhelmed amongst the large crowd, anxious and even afraid. She was so used to being in the comfort of her own house, her overprotective parents watching over her. She should have never expected, however, for her parents and her therapist to insist for her going out more and thus, here she was. “You have to go out, have fun. Be a young adult.” Her parents had told her. How could she do that? The last time she let her guard down, she was snatched away. It didn’t help that preparations for her trial were beginning. Combined with the long day of preparation, her anxiety and LACK of money to get a beautiful, expensive gown to wear, Emily found herself alone, leaning against the wall.
She was looking at the normal, pretty girls who were dancing with their boyfriends, not a care in the world. Emily was never going to be like that ; never going to HAVE that.
She didn’t notice someone was standing next to her, until she snapped out of it. “Sorry. I was just doing the math in my head to see how much those girls’ dresses were and pondering the sad fact that they spent all that money on a dress they’ll wear one night.”
Gia took a sip from her drink, shrugging her shoulders. “It’s not sad actually.” She paused for a second, taking another sip. “We live once, what’s the point of saving money? If they can afford an expensive gown, they can buy it. I can’t see anything wrong with that. I spent tons of money on this latex dress and I don’t regret it. I feel good in this dress, it makes me happy.”

“Hm, looks like a bummer with that line, huh?” Liliana motioned to occupied line to the bar, a daring smile filling upon her lips while holding onto to her clutch while standing behind them. “I should’ve thought about sneaking in some into a flask. But, I was too chicken and knowing my luck, I feel like I would’ve gotten caught.” She acknowledged with a shrug, wandering dark hues around Westbrook Park. “Liking everything so far?”
“Ugh tell me about it.” The blonde looked at the line, rolling her eyes. She hated waiting in general. “I did that but I already finished the flask, now I need another drink.” With a huff, Gia shrugged her shoulders. “If you think like that, of course you would. When you do something shady, you gotta act like you’ll never get caught.” She chuckled. “Eh, it’s going alright so far. How about you?”

“Yeah I figured.” Gia chuckled. “I said you look like a shit and asked if you slept last night or not.”

It was rare for Ethan to walk the dogs at the clinic. They usually had too many volunteers or too many dogs needed medical attention. He was glad that it was a slow enough day for him to bring Buster and Phillip out. The boys had completely healed from their surgery and he knew they would enjoy being outside - cone and all. Unfortunately for those that walked by, the dogs were still getting used to this object around their neck and Buster managed to scrape against a passerby. “Hey, I am so sorry for that! He’s taking it out on the world now that his balls are gone.”
Gia chuckled lightly, looking at the dogs. She just had a soft spot for dogs, but then again who didn’t? “Apology accepted.” With a smirk, Gia nodded. “I am glad he’s okay though. What happened to him?”

“Twelve.” Gia answered, looking at the blonde. “I don’t think you can go younger than this.”

“Okay but like, I am going to need you to be a little more excited. Like, this is going to be a celebration!” She sighed, looking away before looking back, “I got the part. I think you missed that part. I’m going to be on Broadway, and it’s gonna be amazing, and we’re going out to celebrate.”
“Holy shit, did you get the part?” Gia asked in excitement, chuckling. “I am so happy for you! Which play? When are you guys going to start rehearsals? Tell me everything.”

It was a solid story, one that Kelsey could picture without the woman needing to go into more detail about. “Huh— And I guess you got the bottom end of the deal, hmm?” Nodding at the neck brace, Kelsey laughed and shook her head. “Oh god, you’ve gone and done it now. Sit down, I’m about to get all artsy on you…”
“Yeah.” Gia confirmed with a nod, still laughing. “What a luck, right? At least now I have a fun story to tell people.” The blonde added, then sat down. “I can’t wait. This is going to be hilarious. Make it look real, okay?”

Kevin high fived her back, though he took a pause to explain better. “Well, not his dick. He couldn’t have sex for a few months, true, but if I had broken his dick – God, do you know you can actually break your dick? How?” The blonde was even more curious than usual. “Ugh imagine how painful it would be? I am glad about not having penis.” The female was extremely open about her sex life, so she didn’t mind Kevin’s openness. “That wouldn’t make a movie but it would definitely make a funny episode of a sit-com.”

“Okay I’m not going to ask, but what the hell?” Kelsey asked in a whisper, biting on her bottom lip to keep her from laughing. “No, really, it’s a real statement—” Nodding even slower this time, the brunette narrowed her eyes and poked at the brace. “Maybe one that says ‘Don’t go near wells’, but a statement nonetheless.” The woman muttered, pulling a handful of pens out of her purse. “I will draw a penis only if I can place it right under your chin and make it huge…”
“Long story short, I was about to have sex with this one dude, apparently the spot we chose was the cover of an underground well. “ Gia sighed, still laughing. The incident was very funny to her. “Do it! I mean, I got injured because I was planning to choke on a huge dick anyway, so it would be funny. Go ahead.”

“Thank God, it’s just sprained. The well wasn’t that deep luckily. I mean I laugh about it but most of my friends got really worried.”

“Wow, are you always this literal? Or are you just trying to be annoying?” Gia shrugged.

Emily made a face, trying not to laugh. “No, I don’t think anyone needs high off drugs Gia around. Only you would do something like this.” She said, shaking her head playfully. “Okay, but if you want a good home cooked meal, I’m here for you. Until then. do you want a free coffee? Perks of being friends with the barista girl.”
“Why not? I am much more fun on drugs. I am just saying.” She shrugged her shoulders. “I agree, this could only happen to me.” The blonde agreed with a nod. “Aww, thank you Ems. That’s so sweet of you. Fuck yes. I will never say no to a free coffee. There are three things I would never say no to. Coffee, alcohol and a hot guy.”
