{ jordana brewster, cis woman, she/her } Is that GIADA DONATELLI-NARDI? I heard the FORTY-TWO year old belongs to THE FAMILY as a BOARD MEMBER. I’d stay away from them if I were you. I heard they were MANIPULATIVE, but they can also be INTUITIVE, so proceed at your own risk.

biography.
Giada was just a child when she learned of her father’s involvement in The Family, the organization she would eventually become a board member of. Growing up, however, Giada was the principessa, and apple of her mafiosa father’s eye. Though she was surrounded by the family business, daddy’s little girl was always thought to be just that and young Giada was kept as in the dark as much as possible when it came to his dirty work, deemed by her father a man’s business. It was a challenge that made his endeavors all the more intriguing to her. While her mother urged her to help her with Sunday dinner, Giada found herself sneaking off to the seedy parts of town to play cards and smoke cigars with the neighborhood kids. She was sharp, intuitive, and business savvy taking after her father more than mother. Quickly, she learned the ways of the streets, and the hierarchy of the families. Eager to prove herself, Giada used her cleverness to hustle kids and make a pretty penny. Her efforts only disappointed her parents, and the more Giada was kept away the more she began to rebel, even falling for a boy from a rival family. Naturally, it couldn’t work and by the time Giada was 17, she was shipped to the motherland in hopes of straightening her out and keeping her away from the family business. She lived with her Zia Teresa outside of Milan learning the ways of the old country. Her zia taught her all the secrets behind the family recipes, how to sew, tend a garden, and above all else that the most important thing in this life is family. After living in Italy for five years, Giada returned from the fashion capital not only with renewed sense of clarity, but with a degree in fashion merchandising. In return, her father gifted her Sunstone Atelier, not only as a reward for a job well done but also as another distraction in hopes she would be too busy with the boutique to concern herself with business dealings. And for a while that’s exactly what Giada did; she kept her cards close and played the long game. For while there is a queen in the deck, one must be careful how they play it.
And so back in California, Giada played the hand she was dealt. She found love and met a man who is about to become her ex-husband (WC). They share a 15 year old son named Dario together who attends the finest prep school money can buy. She became a dutiful wife, a boutique owner/designer, and a doting mother, the first one to invite everyone over for Sunday dinner and a round of scopa. Eventually the Donatelli patriarch began to ease up on his antiquated views of having his daughters in the Family organization, and Giada couldn’t help but jump at the chance to become an official part of it. She started off small, offering up her boutique as a stronghold in addition to 30 percent of the earnings and eventually working her way up the ranks. By the time Giada was 35, her marriage began to crack, gambling away her chance at love all at the expense of being dealt in at The Family table. She has earned a spot as a Capo with a hunger to keep the momentum going and is willing to do just about anything to prove that she too can play with the big boys. Now, Giada has gotten that chance. Following the tragic death of her father, she has ascended to the Board of The Family, hellbent on avenging him and getting answers. Because if there was one thing Giada knows for certain: it's that if you want something done right, you do it yourself — with your own two hands and preferably a french manicure and killer pair of Giusseppi Zanotti's
headcanons.
Giada is a wine snob. She will not drink anything that hasn’t aged for at least ten years. Her favorite vintage is Chianti Classico specifically the blend her family makes back home in Italy. Bring her a bottle, and it will most certainly be noted and remembered.
While Giada owns Sunstone Atelier which carries a variety of high end fashion pieces, her specialty is designing lingerie and intimates for woman. Her line is called Baci (kisses) by Gi, and she plans to design a weapon friendly line in the future.
Her son, her mother, her aunts, and her sisters are the loves of her life. She would do absolutely anything for them no questions asked and should someone mess with any one of them say your prayers. Slow and intimate torture is her style.
On that note, while she typically will delegate physical altercations, Giada did grow up a mafia princepessa and was taught self-defense from a very young age. She has a trainer whom she works out with a couple times a week to keep her sharp and regularly goes to the shooting range. She is rather skilled with her pistol who she has lovingly refers to as Donatella.
Her intuition is her superpower, a gift her aunts always remind her to use to her to advantage. Therefore, Giada has become rather skilled at reading people, learning their tells, and predicting their next move.
Over the years, Giada has become extremely connected in the greater LA area and even planted some roots in Italy and Brazil. She does this by networking and holding on to “favors” to those outside The Family organization. Her network of those in her pocket runs real deep. She always knows “a guy” and only has to make a couple of calls to make things go away. Usually for a price if not for the good of the Family or those in her inner circle. Honestly, this is giving some Ursala sea witch vibes and I'm digging it.
After father's death, Giada had become relentless (borderline crazed but always in control) in her pursuit to uncover the answers behind the fire. While she hasn't uncovered much, she is willing to do whatever it takes to bring down those who who are responsible for it.
