āYouāve been a bad boy"/Salai
Put āYouāve been a bad boy/girlā in my ask and my character will react to yours saying that as they shove mine against a wall.
Leonardo only arched an eyebrow, confused ā well, no, he wasnāt confused about what the boy wasĀ trying to do. He was confused as to why, though he did have an inkling of what was going onā
"Salai, what are you doing?" he said quietly, looking down at the boy.
Salai smirked up at his teacher. "Well, maestro," he cooed. "I'm trying to discipline you--hence, why I say that you've been a bad boy." Eagerly but languidly, Salai leaned into him, sighing as he did so.
"Since you never bought me those nice clogs I saw in the market the last week, I thought it was only fair."Ā

"Or what?" Salai looked at the strange device with amused skepticism. "Who wants to know?"
hero-of-new-york started following you
May I help you?
Only God knows where your dirty hands have been!Ā
And youāve never given it a thought?
Why would I want to? Disgusting.
Hey I saw your painting in spain and I wanted to say it was very cool!
"Of course," he smiles and admires his own nails with a smug expression. "I'm sure it was a delight to see."
*slaps his hand away* Ew. Donāt touch me.Ā
Ah! *bursts out laughing* Iām sorry. A commonerās touch has no business being near you.
Only God knows where your dirty hands have been!Ā
*moves to pat the otherās face* Iām sure he said that. Iām also sure heās told you not to spread lies.Ā
*slaps his hand away* Ew. Don't touch me.Ā
My place has been in a certain someoneās bed lately. *honestly just trying to rile him up now* So Iām not sure what you mean by,Ā temporary.
*brow twitches with irritation* Well, I hope it's enjoyable while it lasts--which isn't very long, from what maestro has told me.
"Hard to get lost when you walk into my office. If you have nothing better to do, I can put you to work." He reminded.
"Well," Salai started but he let his excuse drop when the man reminded him of work. Ā He pouted his lips. "Well, I should be finding Maestro soon--I'm sure he has much work for me to do--"
lol michelangelo thinking he cool and manly but really he smelly and gross and ugh what century does he think this is the 13th wtf is he wearing
yo yo yo real oG back in italy what upĀ
At least what he had was no contagious, that is what he hopped. Ā Stomach pains could be a result of anything. Possibly bad digestion or he picked up something today was was too heavy and used muscles that were barely used in a daily process. He knew that the pain would soon surpass and they could go on doing work as they planned, however, the concern Salai had for him was rather cute. Though the attempt to make proper tea failed miserably, he still drank it out of kindness and paid little mind to the bland taste. Sipping it, letting the warm liquidĀ journeyĀ down his throat and settling his stomach. With time, he was almost done drinking the what was suppose to be tea and set the cup aside carefully.Ā
Before he knew it, hisĀ apprentice was by his side, curling himself up and nuzzling withoutĀ hesitation,Ā ike there was a case that things could possibly get worse. Leonardo didnāt say anything for awhile, he allowed Salai to do as he wished. The weight shifted and was lightly pressed up against him. In return, Da Vinci swung an arm around the boyās shoulder and let his fingerās run along the otherās cheekĀ subconsciously. The back of his knuckle grazed the otherās face, trying to soothe him without words.Trying to tell him that things will be alright and he did not need to worry.
The silence soon made him tired and with that thought confused him. furrowing his brows in the manner and frowning along with it. He should not be this exhausted. The silence should only be making him want to concentrate and finish the work that was sprawled all over his desk. Yet, somehow he knew if he even pursue to move, Gian would have a say in what he should and shouldnāt be doing. Besides being comfortable, he also knew that sleep was important. Refreshing the mind and not stressing so much on ideas that were wearing away. Somehow, the red head was comfortably like an extra heater. Making his cold dark workshop not so cold and dark anymore.Ā
ā I will try to sleep.ā His voice was soft, it echoed throughout the shop. ā If you want to stay where you are, that would be nice. In the morning, I will āā Heād smile, squeezing him. āteach you how to properly prepare the tea.āĀ
The intimate moment did help to relax the younger man further. Ā Leonardo's heartbeat drumming steadily in his chest reassured Salai and he was able to match his breathing with Leonardo's. Ā Slowly, his brows relaxed and his eyelids drooped. Ā He struggled to stay awake; what if Leonardo had a request from him? Ā Despite the nice moment, he was still worried and still felt compelled to help him be comfortable. Ā
He thought to sit up and ask him if there was anything else he wanted--maybe more tea--but Leonardo broke the silence then. Ā He did not interrupt the moment, at least not in Salai's opinion. Ā But when Leonardo promised to teach him how to make tea, Salai frowned. Ā He frowned for a few minutes before he pressed his face in Leonardo's shoulder. Ā Soon his shoulder was shaking with snickers and muffled giggles. Ā Then he shifted and his laughter could be easily heard--an easy sound, a genuine sound--and he grinned. Ā
"Sleep, maestro," he curled into his side further. Ā "I'll stay."Ā
With that, he wrapped his arms around him again and sighed as he molded himself beside the other man. Ā Every few moments, he would break into quiet giggles but soon he calmed and there was a serene calmness again in the room.

Leonardo da Vinci: Salai as John the Baptist (1514), Louvre
For the painting of John the Baptist, Leonardo da Vinci used his pupil Gian Giacomo Caprotti da Oreno, nicknamed Salai, as a model. Salai entered Leonardoās household in 1490, in a year, Leonardo made a list of his misdemeanors (a thief, a liar, stubborn, and a glutton) after he had made off with money and valuables on at least five occasions and spent a fortune on clothes. Still, Leonardo treated him with great indulgence and Salai lived in his house for the next thirty years. Salai executed a number of paintings under the name of Andrea Salai.
Salai
Ā Ā In 1494 Leonardo was walking in the countryside around Milan when he saw a boy dressed in rags sketching the goats he was tending. Ā The boyās father, being poor, agreed to let Leonardo take the boy into his care. Ā His name was Gian Giacomo Copotti da Oreno. Because he was badly behaved Leonardo nicknamed him Salai being short for Salaino meaning ālittle devil.ā
Ā Ā No one can be certain as to Leonardoās sexuality.Ā Ā Some say that the Allegory of Pleasure and Pain may depict Salai as Pleasure and Leonardo as Pain joined back to back. In the Codex Atlanticus an assistant has drawn two-legged penises moving towards a small round hole labeled āSalai.āĀ Ā We have already seen the Angel in the Flesh in the Art section of this site and noted the drawings of effeminate young men with curly hair as seen above.
Ā Ā Leonardo may not have practiced sex at all. Ā His writings about the penis (the famousādella vergaā passage from one of his notebooks), his Coitus drawing and comments on the Allegory of Pleasure and Pain show amusement and disdain for sexual practices and perhaps an unconscious realisation that sexual activity for him would be a wasteful discharging of his energies as it is thought that genius sublimates the libido to some extent channelling it into creativity. Ā For evidence of this note the comments accompanying the Allegory of Pleasure and Pain in which Leonardo makes an oblique reference to masturbation as āthose pleasures which are often the cause of the failing of life.ā
His free hand swooped itās way around the younger maleās waistĀ subconsciously and pulled him lightly forward. Fingerās curled around the otherās hip, tips pressed against the fabric of the expensive jacket. Running his finger along the fringe and stopped to lightly tap impatiently on the otherās hip bone. As if his mind was counting the time before he decided what to do next. The small kiss that Salai given him on his cheek was warm and sweet and he smiled instantly as a result. Turning his head to face him, nose tips eventually touched. His heart thuddingĀ fortuitously and he tried hard to ignore it and hopped that it was incapable of being heard or felt. The pulse thudded through his body, he could feel it against his finger tips.Ā
Or was this not his heartbeat?
Heād narrow his eyes in confusion for a small period of time before looking back at the otherās dark brown eyes that seemed to be currently staring at him with some kind of entreat of some kind. While Salaiās lips parted and that soft voice made way into his ears. Leonardo would sigh through his nose and shook his head. āNo. I have never heard that before.ā It was a compliment that he took happily. Roses were one of his favorite kinds of flowers, and to be told that and know that Salai was doing so with honesty, he couldnāt help but lean himself in closer. Maybe he should of stopped before his body decided to react on itās own.Ā
His own dry lipsĀ scarcely traveled their way up to the younger maleās. Giving a kiss on hisĀ apprenticeās mouth shyly. With eyes still open, his head still doubting, and the time slipping away into the moment that wasnāt suppose to be happening.
His touches were gentle and intimate. Ā Salai couldn't help but shiver pleasantly--he couldn't remember ever being touched like this. Ā He wouldn't count the times the Maestro would touch his bare skin while molding him into a pose of his liking. Ā That was different. Ā This was something much more tender and genuine. Ā The younger man embraced it.
His eyes danced when Leonardo had admitted that to him. Ā He took great pride in being the first to mention it to him. Ā It was true, really. Ā It was one of his favorite smells, the smell of ink and roses--the smell of Leonardo da Vinci. Ā Salai would stay in his shoulder for the rest of his life, smelling the wonderful scent of his if he could. Ā He thought of doing that right up to the moment when the other kissed him.
The boy gave a quiet gasp and then a pleasant hum as he was kissed. Ā Fingers slid up and held firmly around the other's neck, certain and keeping him there close to him. Ā He was not giving this up. Ā The moment was sweet and lingering--Salai wouldn't allow it to be brief. Ā Instead, he met his master's gaze before sliding them shut. Ā Then it was his turn to return the kiss and, though the boy was young and Leonardo was his first, he was not at all shy. Ā His mouth was firmer on the other's, even if he had to be strain on the tips of his toes. Ā
When he pulled away finally, it was with a pleased sigh and he grinned up at Leonardo, his fingers curling in the blond's hair. Ā
Do you ever miss your parents? What are they like?
What an odd question, the boy thought. Ā He gave the stranger an incredulous look. Ā āI barely remember my fatherās face. Ā If I knew my motherās, I canāt remember. Ā Theyāre probably dead and rotting about now. Ā Who knows? Ā Who cares?ā
Salai was not ready to divulge in that part of his life now. Ā He doubted he ever would be.
