She wanted to prove to everyone that she is strong, but she wasn't aware that proving to everybody that she's strong just made her a weakling. She trying to deceive everybody by someone that is not her.

And when the call ends that's when her tears that she been holding the entire time flow. The changes that she been getting, she doesn't want to get into her. She doesn't want that to ruin her, to ruin everything that they started. She knew by that time what she have to do but she's afraid, she's afraid and somewhere somewhat something was stopping her to do things that she want....
