the problem a lot of dragoners run into is how to feed them. the bigger hunting breeds for taking down moose and large deer and the like are bigger than wolves. sure, on hunting days you can give them the rest of your kills that aren’t fit for human consumption, they’re happy to eat that stuff, but you can’t hunt every day and if you let them forage they’ll eventually wreck the environment because you don’t live in a rural enough area for them to have as much foraging space as a dragon that size would naturally need. specialized dragon feed is also rather expensive
