As requested, more fic recs! I figured I’d go with heavily influenced H/G sunlit days stories. Most if not all are set during HBP because I love pining and the amazing days after the kiss.

An amazing fic set during HBP when Harry begins noticing Ginny. Yes, I spent the several hour flight trying to subtly read this story filled with teenage pining and wanking, praying my neighbor didn’t catch me.

My relationship to Harry Potter, like most things, is a series of both/and. To think critically about something is to love it, and it is very much how I love things. I continue to engage with HP because I’ve found a caring, very Queer community of lovely humans. Some of my favorite novels and stories are Queer Harry Potter fanfic. The wizarding world belongs to us now, and we keep it alive and shape it through critical readings and transformative works. I’m not here for JKR and her bigotry. I’m here for the compassionate, brilliant nerds that make cool things and have made space for me and people like me (and unlike me) to thrive in magic.
