I have a headcanon, that when Percy and Annabeth falling into the tartarus annabeth sees all of her favourite moment with percy. Their first met. Their first kiss. The hug in the athena cabin. Their “secret” glances that both of them saw… and then She says “i love you”.

Percy sees annabeth’s faces, her thinking face, her “i always knew” face, her fake confident face ( only Percy sees that fake, cause he really knows her) her really confident face. he sees the times when the girl saved him. He feels her lips. Her hands in his hair. Then his heart full of gratitude and love.
