Been thinking about Susan's Type™️ with Valentine's Day coming up and here's what I've determined:

I think on some level Susan is very drawn to a certain brand of self-confidence that can sometimes read as arrogance (why the hell else would she have stayed with Derek for so long?). But, after realizing how terrible Derek was, I think she's now very put off by those same traits.

HOWEVER, I think if she were to come across someone whose confidence was coming from a more genuine place, not from insecurity or a desire for control, and unintimidated by her own confidence, there could be potential for that attraction again.

And I imagine there would be this flip, like she spends all this time being decidedly Not Into them, until she realizes there's actually a heart of gold under there. She would probably stay conflicted about it for a while, maybe unsure why she was drawn to this again, because she refuses to ever wind up with someone like Derek again.
