Agnes: This is my girlfriend Becka and her husband Garth
Garth: I'm also Agnes' boyfriend
God I hope at some point we get to see Agnes/Hannah reuniting with Luke and June. I really, really hope we get to see Luke see the woman Agnes has become and that she gets the answers for what all her little trinkets are.
I really was not expecting to see Rita in this show, but I'm so glad they brought her in!
The moment where she reminded Daisy not to assume she was smarter than the girls was quite wonderful. Especially later when we get the "you don't have a personality" moment.
The Testaments is one of those adaptions that is straying from the source material but is doing something interesting with it.
For example, in the latest episode, Lydia's story is markedly different from in the books. It's more in keeping with the show canon (Lydia as a teacher rather than a lawyer), and it's added an interesting dynamic to the relationship between Lydia and Vidala.
Book!Vidala is a true believer who, frankly, reminds me a little too much like certain women in the current US government. Show!Vidala... I really like what they've done with her. She's younger than Lydia, and there's this interesting undercurrent of betrayal and suspicion that is so interesting to watch. Especially now that we saw Lydia almost execute Vidala in the stadium.
And Shunamite? Show!Shunamite is such a better character than what we see in the books. I find I understand her a lot better than I did in the book.
Also, making Judd a younger man? Fucking genius move! In the books he comes across as just a gross old man, but in this iteration he's so much... worse.
So... how long until we get Lydia narration?
I love how The Testaments really juxtaposes the social politics of living in Gilead and the... I don't want to call it high school drama but I suppose that's the best phrasing with the sheer horror of Gilead.
The girls are talking about the tea and the gossip about what it means and then oh look. Dead bodies.
Okay... so I know Commander Judd was much more of a Commander Lawrence type in the books, but I kind of love that they made him younger in the show.
I want Daisy to still be Nichole just for the pure comedy of June having to parent her daughter without letting on that she's parenting her daughter. All the while they now have to get into Mayday spy shit.
Just... please Bruce Miller. Please give me this moment of unintentional comedy.
Thus far I love how The Testaments has managed to add so much great little moments of world building that were similar to the book, but also fit with the canon of the show.
I especially loved the purple school bus that was a great visual call back to the red bus used for the Handmaid's in the original show. Not to mention how a lot of corrections the girls went through were similar to what they did with the Handmaids. The public shaming of it all.
The assembly scene was... oof. I think it was worse than any of the execution scenes in The Handmaid's Tale were because these were teenage girls.
And oh.... Becka. Sweet, baby Becka! The queer reading of Becka/Agnes from the book is still present in the show. I really like the show interpretations of all of the characters so far, but Becka is a stand out for me so far.'
The visuals of the show continue to be fucking amazing! That eye shot during the culty initiation ceremony???? Absolutely fucking gorgeous.
And that scene where Agnes told her father about getting her period? Chills. Fucking chills.

I don't think I've played purposely scary games?
Echo the Dolphin freaked me out when I was a kid, but that's because of the sharks and the drowning.

Oh gosh..... this is going to be super specific, but Carmen Sandiego specifically from Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?. I loved that game as a kid, even if the Declaration of Independence puzzle was the literal hardest of the game. I spent hours with pencil and paper blunt forcing my way through it.
How about we test what’s stronger? My will or the sword’s curse?
