can I just point out. we never saw sheepstealer die. he got bit up, sure, but so did sunfyre -- worse even -- & he survived, so I think sheepstealer's going to make some kind of comeback in s4 after he heals up & daemon Will ride into battle with rhaena by his side. sheepstealer is kinda the ulf of the dragons so it fits thematically with the direction the rebellion is going, & also being a purely wild dragon it most likely has stronger resistances than the household purebreds. sheeps' mauling was also a visual example of what baela called rhaenyra out on -- a living being under a targaryen is only useful insofar as what it symbolizes & is immediately able to achieve, & then after that is deemed waste to be consumed.

still don’t understand how they fucked the rhaenanettes plot so badly when it was right there (daemon choosing to protect his neglected daughter over his loyalty to rhaenyra, fleeing with rhaena and killing vhagar as a final act of love to them both) but for some reason there can’t be any stakes or tension in rhaenyra and daemon’s marriage?? rhaena gets a botched side plot that ultimately goes nowhere?? at this point they could have cut sheepstealer altogether and it would have had next to no impact on the show plot.

I didn't think I'd be so hurt by the loss of caraxes and Sheepstealer's relationship on screen. I didn't even expect it honestly.

Catching up with the first four episodes of season 3 and here are my thoughts on ep1:

Ep2,

I didn't expect to feel so emotional when rhaena claimed sheepstealer and got to ride him!! But i'm so glad for her (despite already knowing what happens next)

Jace inherited rhaenyra's delusion of always being right, it seems. And the way the guard followed his order without much pushing kinda confirms they do think rhaenyra is a bit delusional :/

And speaking of rhaenyra, someone should say to her she oughts to get over her not being a man, it's really clouding her judgement and proving the men right e.e (i honestly thought she had already gotten over it). At this point her case is the same as cersei, as tyrion said: they are bad queens / make terrible decisions not bc they are women but bc they don't know how to rule :/ like girl, pick up a book!!!

Got waaaay too excited for daeron's first scene even though i had already seen gifts!! I was not happy with how ormund is keeping tessarion, though ):

Gwayne going through it in the woods... saw that they cut a scene where criston asks for the man to be brought to him to actually punish him for raping the girl and i'm so mad!!!

Aegon should have just simply said he couldn't kneel bc of his wounds and maaaaybe he would have gotten a pass lol

Lohar was amazing! An excellent battle and one she won! She knew her enemy very well and used everything against him. Very unfortunately her death was kinda anticlimactic but very cathartic for alyn!

I have a lot to say about the dragons part in this episode but i'm gonna save it for when i make my post about the dragon-ridder bond >>

However, i do am saying: so much for jace and baela being ready for battle lmao 🤦🏻‍♀️ i do feel bad for rhaena, though
