reality is alexia will be “depended on” whatever team she goes to - even if she went to a strong team like lyon, chelsea etc because she’s the best player itw right now. main difference is at LCL the mental toll of that won’t be as severe because it has less emotional weight for her. and she won’t exactly the competing for a quadruple year after year.

!! emphasis on the emotional weight part.

god forbid a woman who won 38 trophies with the club wants to finish her career with less pressure just playing the sport she loves.

anyway i simply don’t want to talk about this anymore because people are being so absurd across every single social media platform. i love alexia. i love barça. the two are not mutually exclusive.

This is Kang we’re talking about. She’ll try her best to find a loophole as they do in men’s soccer. And if she can’t, based on how she’s building up LCL and neglecting Lyonnes, it doesn’t seem that unlikely that she’ll sell Lyonnes in a few years and focus on LCL being her UWCL team.

And that still wouldn’t stop kang from making it the team UWCL ready, she definitely would put a lot of pressure on making the team top of the roster

The biggest knock to LCL being her future landing place that I see is the mental toll playing for them would require. She would be relied and depended on even more than when she was at Barça (imo) to make LCL a UWCL qualifying team. So if she truly wants a competitive but not reliant system, LCL wouldn't be my first choice, but yes financially it makes sense, despite how much I dislike LCL and the principals it's currently built on.

LCL can’t compete in the champions league bc there’s a rule banning clubs with the same ownership both competing in the same competition.
