girlreborn is the tumblr equivalent of girlreborn on ao3. i don’t have any other official accounts, so please do not believe any accounts saying they are me that have any other names or that are named ‘girlreborn’ on any other platforms.

to be short, this is a blog in which you can find teasers as to upcoming chapters of my serialized works and which i am available to speak with privately. i don’t post full chapters on tumblr due to the sole fact that i sometimes use special formatting on ao3 that isn’t compatible with tumblr. if you have any thoughts or comments you would like to share with me about any of my serialized works, you can feel free to contact me here. keep in mind, i do not take requests, only commissions. please look here for my commission information.

*cough* so this is my first (and probably last) post on tumbler. I'm completely new to this app and know absolutely nothing about it. So do excuse me for any mistakes I might make, thank you!

I read an hsr fanfic on ao3 lately by the name of "Vae, puto deus fio" by girlreborn. Go check it out, the writing is phenomenal!

This is their oc, Xenocharis. THEY are an aeon, therefore THEY have no gender. I tried to make THEM look as androgynous as possible, but I'm not the best at drawing anything other than pretty anime girls so I'm not sure how well that turned out.

So this is the first design I had in mind

I got the horn idea from a character from WuWa, I don't really know her name since I haven't gotten into the game yet, but she's the blonde elf lady.

I tried to make it look vaguely like a horn snail shell lmao.

The veil was inspired by jellyfish, and jewelry was pearls and coral. I also gave THEM a simple tattoo, cuz I wanted a mesh between sea and forest.

Now for the second design

THEY look mostly the same, I just changed the hair and skin color.

And I suck at anatomy, yes I know.

I wanted to do something more creative with the hands but nothing came to mind qwq

I half stole the jewelry from an image I found in pinterest, I don't know the artist (I can't read their name QAQ) but here's the pin just in case.

At that point I was getting extremely tired, so while I wasn't completely satisfied with the design (I wanted more sea references, and for THEM to look more dreamy, but oh well) I decided to just get on with it and draw an actual fanart.

So here it is!

Don't look to deeply please, I know I made a lot of mistakes. It physically hurts me to show this to someone but like, it's been rotting in my gallery for days and I NEED the author to know how much I love their work.

this is truly such a marvelous work, and it makes me deeply appreciative that someone would take time out of their day to show their admiration and explore the character i had conceived. it’s beautiful, and although i understand you seem nervous about the quality, i can assure you while i was looking at it i saw no flaws. i think that’s a part of creation of most anything; we tend to be self-critical over our own work even when we push ourselves to do our best. i could most definitely imagine either of these designs undergoing the events of the story.

thank you for taking time to show your admiration, i can only hope that i may continue to show a story that makes you so happy to read.

I Wonder If someone,likely from the Genius society,will clock that xenocharis came from another universe,maybe they'll think that the fantasy came from beyond the preservation walls

i find it quite funny you mention preservation specifically.

but, you can rest assured i have a lot planned. i’m glad that there are those still interested in the progression of the story.

i don’t think this is a question i should answer directly: what I can say is that it would indeed be a fitting place for them to appear, in the shared ideal of creating a new set of laws from something that already exists.

i am glad readers are still curious about what stops their journey will take next. hopefully i’l be able to share that experience with you more frequently now that i’ll be having much more free time.

As of right now, THEY’RE the one I want to see the most,” she casually demands, expecting them to take her word as law. “You know the drill. I’ll hand your rewards over to your babysitters, yada-yada… just hop in and don’t waste my time.”

Just as Stelle could see March’s face contorting, readying what was no doubt an offended reply to Herta calling Mr. Yang and Miss Himeko their ‘babysitters,’ Dan Heng’s voice interjects first and robs her of the chance to express anger.

“Before that, I have a question, Madame Herta…” He poses quickly, staring down at the woman’s proxy form with eyes that always scrutinized and took in information, yet seemed to give none back in return. “Is there anything you believe we’d need to look out for with this Aeon? Knowing what might happen in advance would assist us in avoiding something similar to what happened when we met with the simulated IX.”

Herta blinks up at the teen owlishly, seeming to ponder over his question for a moment before she lets out a humored, slight chuckle.

“Maybe you should practice some breathing exercises. I hear that Xenocharis can elicit some rather strong emotions in those who meet with THEM directly.”

you haven’t posted in a while, are you doing alright?

my, my, it seems i have people worried about me? i truly must extend my utmost gratitude.

i am indeed doing just fine. i have simply been very busy in real life as of recent, and a lot of what i’ve been working on in terms of writing has taken many revisions- both with the next few chapters of ‘vae, puto deus fio’ and a few other one-shots i am hoping you’ll be excited for.

that said, they don’t call me girlreborn for nothing. by the blessings of sanctus medicus, i hope to be able to bestow upon you many new pieces during the new year. and, if you ever wish for a more prompt work, my commissions remain open.

With the fact that reader’s ascension made a new path, i have to ask, what do you think the little icon of the path of ‘Fantasy’ look like? Like the wheat symbol for abundance?

indeed, your question is a good one. …and it made me think for a long time about what it would be.

in lieu of spoiling any of my intentions with xenocharis by saying the details of how i would design it and what everything would represent, i decided that a sketch where you could consider them yourself might be more beneficial.

Just as quickly as you are able to get your bearings, something catches your eye. Whilst there are many planets before you, a blazing sight hooks your eye on one more than the others.

It takes you a moment to realize what the sparks of color and shapes visible from the atmosphere even are. …Fireworks. Was there a celebration taking place?

You reached out a hand to begin to swim to the sight of the festivities, but as soon as you do, a dark shadow overtakes your iridescent digits, holding your hand. There is someone- something(?) that is holding onto you.

You look to your side as the sound of party horns and poppers fills your ears in great Elation, confetti and balloons joining the dust and debris surrounding you and your uninvited guest. There is a faceless umbra in the shape of a human in front of you. As if the figure were made of naught but smoke, THEIR body twirls in the vacuum of space, wrapping around you as if in an overly familiar embrace.

“You’ve finally graced us with your presence!” It takes you a moment to realize that the voice you hear is coming from the entity now before you, a mix of shrill and high-pitched glee coming out of THEM in a tone that sounds neither masculine nor feminine in lieu of coming off more like an instrument that had learned how to talk. “Aha has really been looking forward to meeting you!”

His tone leaves no room for apprehension or resistance. As much as you would prefer to desperately avoid his piercing gaze, you’ve known Ratio long enough to gauge the fact that he’s too stubborn for you to escape this situation without complying.

So you do.

Your vision is blurry with the amount of tears congealing above your eyeball, but you can see Ratio’s face. His gaze is contemplative as he looks back back into your own, eyes narrowing. His opposite hand hovers near your face for a moment, almost as if to hold an unguentarium to your eyes to collect the liquid dripping out… before he shifts, placing it in front of you to where you could hold onto it.

“You’re in no condition to keep working,” he says matter-of-factly, “Grab onto me. We’re leaving.”

You had a lot of time to think about what was happening and where you were. Your body had felt different when you had left this sea of consciousness, and you realize that you only had absolute control over this space.

One should be able to control every part of a lucid dream. Yet, your complete dominion was confined solely to this imaginary zone.

You cannot wake up no matter how hard you try. The world you were in could not be rationally comprehended with your understanding of dreams. Had you lost your mind?

You decided to eat more and more of the blobs of consciousness that existed within your playground, hoping to find something that could possibly give you a hold on what was happening to you.

To say that you could not possibly have expected the results was an understatement.

Concepts and understanding of language began piling up in your mind through all your digging. Terms and phrases overwhelm you. ‘Aeon,’ ‘Emanator,’ ‘Path,’ ‘Pathstrider…’

You were in a world foreign to your own, one that you were well aware of, like your life was all the plot of some light novel engineered to make a couple bucks off of the ever-popular isekai trope. The world you had found yourself in was that of a game you spent much of your freetime playing.

in this new work, readers will be able to explore a tale where they take the role of a newly formed aeon in the world of honkai: star rail, where they will come to realize that there are no twists and turns that are off limit when one has become a god.
