yet another update after many years
'Sup. Y'all miss me? Anyways, I think the me that made this blog over ten years ago would hate the me of today. ATP it's hard to consider me anything but a leftist. At a certain point in my life I realized that many of my core values regarding environmentalism, and the rights of other humans, were fundamentally incompatible with the people I was associating with. Anyways, I've since graduated college, I'm about to get my graduate degree, and hopefully will begin a long and fruitful career in conservation next year once I graduate. It's been fun. I've gotten to travel the country a little bit. Got to go to Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Washington D.C., all over the Appalachians, New Orleans, and even went to Canada for a bit last week.
I have complicated feelings about this blog. Part of me is embarrassed about it, part of me is proud that I managed to avoid the alt-right pipeline (new girls to avoid post? how about alt-right grifters). Another part of me is realizing how much I never agreed with many of the people I surrounded myself but I told myself that any enemy of the SJW demon in my head was a friend of mine. Now, with evangelicals on the rise, I think me and many others are starting to see the beasts we once fought on the side of. I was fourteen, fifteen when I ran this blog. Ten years on and I've changed a lot. I wonder how many of you stuck around, and how much you have changed...
