When I first watched the X Games, I wanted to be the first woman to compete in their freestyle motocross event. Needless to say, that didn’t happen, but I hoped that a lady would come in. Best Whip isn’t exactly a freestyle motocross contest, but Vicki Golden became the first woman to compete in a non-racing motocross event at the X Games yesterday. Not only that, she won bronze. The event was fan-voted which means that enough of the X Games-watching crowd doesn’t care about gender. Vicki is also the first woman to have qualified for an arenacross event and the defending X Games Women’s Moto X Racing champ.
