Finn Pain Scale

When nursing student Janell suggested how kids in her pediatric ward might better respond to Finn’s face on the traditional "Wong-Baker Facial Grimace Scale," Adventure Time character designer Matt Forsythe drew up these Finns, from “no pain” to “worst pain possible,” for her.

Thanks, Matt, and thank you, Janell. We hope these Finn faces make kids’ illnesses even a tiny bit more bearable.

I love the medical alert bracelets from WhimsyKnots! They have so many different styles and colors that (while adorable) still manage to be visible and easily read! Meet the amazing Masami Orimo, the phenomenal woman who lost a leg in a car crash, turned a “cyborg” prosthetic leg into an instrument , as lead in her punk band Shampoo. She simply added a violin string to her artificial  leg.
