Special Thanks To: Jamz, my KPOP guru who proofread and edited the song. My lyrics are at their best because she helped me! Concept: The song is sung in the perspective of Picasso who eventually falls for his muse, Dora Maar. There are three parts to the song. First, Picasso uses Dora for art, but does not want to get involved romantically. Eventually, he does fall for her. By the end, she has moved on, and yet he still dotes over her.

Notes: 

1) While learning and rewriting the lyrics for “dOra Maar”, I extensively watched the dance video OnlyOneOf uploaded. I wanted to make sure the lyrics matched the choreography as much as possible. 

2) “I wanna see your bad..” – I thought this was a catchy edit. Imagine this line on a t-shirt and/or tote bag… Yeah, yeah, yeah! Anyway, this line means that Picasso is trying to see all the flaws and the dark side of his muse… this is what he wants to capture in his art.

3) Also, to anyone who is wondering where I got my instrumental, please note that I downloaded the official instrumental using my Melon subscription.

4)  Did you know  that Dora Maar was actually Picasso’s 4th muse? Out of 6 muses in total? But perhaps his wife is his 1... hence, she’d be the 5th subject.

february 3rd. four years ago jonghyun made his debut as the new dj for mbc fm4u’s blue night radio, replacing the former dj, brown eyed soul’s jungyeop. jonghyun stayed on as dj on the show for just over three years before retiring post on april 3rd, 2017. in the three years that we spent with jjongd we were not only able to get to know him better as a person but we were able to watch him develop into the singer-songwriter that he always dreamed of becoming. he made his solo debut just one month shy of his first anniversary on the show and it was through a special corner that he created, the man who composes, where he composed and wrote songs based on stories sent in by listeners, that we were able to receive two incredible albums: the collection [story op. 1] and the collection [story op. 2]. you can listen to an audio recording of his first broadcast (without the songs played or english subtitle) here. if interested you may also scroll through a few tags on fyjjong that were used during his time spent on the show: blue night radio (the main tag which features everything related to the show), translations (blue night) (a tag for all translations from the broadcast that aired after i opened the blog) and garden studio (images and videos from public and viewable broadcasts of the show). for those wanting to jump in further you may visit the official twitter and instagram for the show - which features photos posted of jonghyun and the guests from his duration in time on the show, and home is where the kazoo is, which has been slowly updating earlier broadcasts of the show.
