So I am trying to get back into reading like I used to. I have planned to purchase a Kindle Paperwhite for Prime Day tomorrow. I have already pre-ordered my case, pop socket and some stickers which I will do an unboxing for to show it off when I get everything. Something I also want to start doing is reviewing the books I am reading and keeping track of everything for the rest of the year.

I am currently reading Red at the Bone by Jaqueline Woodson. What are you reading?

Ordered my kindle!

I finally purchased my kindle in the agave green color and 16GB. I had woken up before 3am and tried to stay up and fell asleep and when I did wake up it was 3:40am and I searched the kindle I wanted and ordered it for $94.99 which is 55$ off the original price of $149.99. It is apparently so popular that I won't be getting it until the end of the month. My husband had also been talking about how he also wanted one but he ended up getting a gift card from his sister for his birthday and he was like I am going to get one but he ordered his in denim and is getting it this weekend. Hopefully I'll get lucky and it will come earlier but who knows. For now I am reading through the kindle app on my phone.

This past weekend I had to go to my storage unit to clear everything out so we could get rid of a bill. I finally had the opportunity to go through all of the things I have accumulated over the last 20 years or so. I found my old kindle fire which still works. I thought I would use that to start reading more again. I used to read all summer long when I was a kid and since college I never had the time to read anything outside of school. This is the first time I have the opportunity to actually read something not related to an assignment so let’s see how many books I can read this summer using my kindle. Maybe I will eventually be able to get a new kindle sometime this year.
