the notion that autistic people with "stereotypical" presentations of autism have ever been respected in society or are no longer in need of advocacy or representation would be laughable if it weren't so harmful

"Covid isnt over" people are so weird to me because no its not over people are still getting infected but you know what else isnt over? Malaria and TB that kill over a million people a year. Both of which can give you really bad long term complications after the disease resolves, including immune issues. And i dont see apocalyptic predictions about them or blaming them for every bad thing in society. The pandemic is whats over, not the disease.
I dont have a problem with people raising awareness and money for any medical problem, its just that its weird when people treat covid as the source of all possible societal ails or that we should still be in lockdown for it. Its weirdly apocalyptic truther vibes, i dunno how to describe it. People live with debilitating medical issues all the time not just from long covid so its weird to blame like, all brain fog rates rising on it.
And frankly a lot of long covid symptoms are also symptoms of being stressed out, eating like shit, sleeping like shit, not drinking water and not exercising as well as various medications or recreational drugs. Which recreational drug use has risen a ton in the past decade which that was the trend even before covid happened. Eating habits have gotten worse, sedentary behavior has gotten worse, stress has gotten worse, sleep has gotten worse, and people are on more medications, and we see a lot of these trends before covid was a thing. I just dont think its covid or long covid to blame for almost any of it, its a broader societal shift. Like its a real thing but its missing the forest for the trees.
the kale fad was made up by a lady who pretended to be paid to do it. but she actually just liked kale
Imagine a female democrat saying cutting carbs and sugar was so hard it would make her bomb paraguay. These guys would be moved to invent new misogynistic slurs

If I had immortality I would piss off big dogs and make them attack and kill me so they have to be put down by law and then I'd get up and be fine and do it again. But what if I encountered an immortal dog and we became locked in endless war...? Need to think this through
