i suggest not letting it get this far
Thinking about how Leon always went it alone and he started off doing so in requiem but then Grace *demands* to help even though she's inexperienced and Leon sees himself in her and tells Grace that he trusts her (unspoken words being trusts her to save him and the city) and Grace is quite literally his saving Grace and she protects him AND Chris shows up to help Leon and this is one of the few times when Leon has 100% succeeded-- Emily survived, Grace survived, Sherry survived, the other survivors of the RCI will live now, and he prevented what happened in 1998 from happening again and its because he asked for help & let people help him.
Reqiuem is infinitely better when you realize its a healing journey. Leon goes in thinking from the moment he sets foot in Raccoon City he's gonna die saving Grace like the Destroy Ending. he doesn't have hope he just has to save one more person... but then Grace restores his hope. He sees in her that same thing he used to be full of and he realizes the world isn't out of hope.
Amusing to remember Code Veronica takes place 2 months after Re2 and thus Claire is still Fresh off the "been through Hell" train. Gonna be interesting how her newer stronger characterisation shines through cause while OG claire is a badass, Remake Claire willingly jumps down to fight G3 while girlbossing Annette into being a good mother through sheer force of personality. Depending on what Treatment Steve gets (Give us a Luis 4make quality glowup plz!) that man might be doomed in the shadow of Claire's sheer badassery. Nothing on the island is a match for her with a gun in hand and a knife on her shoulder. I want him in awe of how unphased she is in ghe face of the nightmare scenario of your first zombie outbreak.
Do you think Stalker hesitated to kill us in the Second Dream because we reminded him of the child he never got to have?
To be fair hunhow was egging him on on the 2nd attempt.
Still find it funny Hunhow learned to let the old grudges go before Stalker and spent the whole quest badgering him to just ask his grandkids for help cause we showed him we are good people when we put it all on the line to save his daughter in New War. I want more of him being our grandpa honestly.
You know when I said this DE I wasn't asking for you to give him Dementia like a grandpa.
People need to think more before making their arguements about why the new Resident Evil Movie isn't going to be good because right now all of their arguements boil down to "I'm upset that its an original story" or "I'm upset the OG characters aren't in it" and just... these arguements don't feel like they make a point when these same arguements if applied to the series as a whole means you hate Outbreak and 7. What makes this new movie different from Outbreak? Adverage schmos caught up in the chaos what is Outbreak clamoured for a remake but a movie with a similiar concept "Doesn't feel like resident evil" are you kidding me. Please articulate a better arguement then one that makes it feel like Resident Evils with new characters are automatically bad as if we didn't all delight in what 7 did for revitalizing the horror.
I bet you're a furry aren't you
What gave it away the wolf pfp?
Several times on here I've seen the take "I know local theater is bad and cringey, but you have to support it anyway!" And while I understand what they're getting at, I'm always like, why do you assume it's going to be "bad" just because the artists are members of your own community? I just saw a local production of The Importance of Being Earnest and it was HILARIOUS. Everyone was DELIGHTFULLY funny and we thoroughly enjoyed it! There have been so many times I've been greatly moved by "amateur" or student art, and if you can't allow yourself to appreciate anything but "the Best" (and who decides what "the Best" is anyway? This production of "Earnest" was way funnier than the version that Judy Dench and Rupert Everett were in, as deservedly "famous" as they might be) then you are just being a joyless snob. There's beauty and talent all around you. And if that makes me "easy to please," then well... That means I'm pleased more often! And why should I want to apologize for that?
Resident Evil, 1996
Ah Classic.

Most Mercenaries also are hired in groups because their origins are as soldiers. You use Mercenaries to bolster your army or to act as army if you lack one, they're good for anything you need paid gruntwork for.
Why Was Alyssea killed if Victor didn't know Grace was who he was looking for at the time? Simple, a combination of Revenge (Alyessa was one of the key people in Umbrella's downfall, alongside Yoko she ensured the truth about bioweapon experiments came to light and made sure the public was aware during the entire court proceedings) and her investigative prowess, she was likely in Wrenwood tracking down a lead on the connection's activities, so they silenced her before she could become a problem for them again, a wise move considering they had seen her help take down umbrella and survive the hell of raccoon city, they knew she was no pushover (and in outbreak she is obstensibly the most combat capable female character, serious badass energy).
As for the photos of grace from that day? Likely them collecting things to use to threaten her if she got away, use Grace as leverage "We'll hurt your daughter, back off. We got THIS close before." And later when Gideon realized Grace was the one he was looking for, the child that was important to his master for reasons he disn't fully understand, he simply dug up the photos and put together his scheme, having the connections manipulate the situation to get her there alone.
Cause its come up about if the attack was targeted at Alyssa or Grace I present the connecrions report on the event.
They call their man an "Assassin" so he was there to terminate Alyssa.

You know recently I said the phrase "My Spider Mercenaries" and got to thinking about the arrangement of letting spiders live in your house to eat flying insects.
Is it strange to love arachnids and find them a lovely roomate to let have a corner of the room to web up? They pay their rent in devoured flies and mosquitos a plenty. Nature's glue trap!
Honestly if Elpis is replicateable from the recovered doses not used on Leon, Emily or Zeno, Claire is going to be so happy to have a cure to offer victims of bioterror in her NGO work.
Rebbecca is going to be ON THAT to study it for future super antiviral work beyond just bioweapons, she'll be all over it for understanding its workings to apply to other disease cures since it REVERSES MUTATIONS AND WHAT IS CANCER BUT RAMPANT MUTATIONS.
Thr non combatant girls would be THRIVING.
Reqiuem saying goodbye to the Progenitor Virus and Umbrella's entire legacy really opens the door for more creative monster sources going forward. A new era with the past finally settled, the old villians put to rest, now the slate's clean for dealing with whatever the Connections cooks up in being unable to repurpose old umbrella projects.
The Subtle Cruelty of Gideon's Staff in charge of the clone girls. Cataracts are highly treatable, easily solvable with the medical technology and surgical skills on hand at the facility. But the girls are lab rats, it would be a 'waste' to give them the kindness of sight.
Its really telling how in the epilouge we instantly have Emily regaining sight because on her government paycheck / insurance through work Grace could easily afford the treatment for Emily.
Emily was only blind because of medical cruelty.
