Several times on here I've seen the take "I know local theater is bad and cringey, but you have to support it anyway!" And while I understand what they're getting at, I'm always like, why do you assume it's going to be "bad" just because the artists are members of your own community? I just saw a local production of The Importance of Being Earnest and it was HILARIOUS. Everyone was DELIGHTFULLY funny and we thoroughly enjoyed it! There have been so many times I've been greatly moved by "amateur" or student art, and if you can't allow yourself to appreciate anything but "the Best" (and who decides what "the Best" is anyway? This production of "Earnest" was way funnier than the version that Judy Dench and Rupert Everett were in, as deservedly "famous" as they might be) then you are just being a joyless snob. There's beauty and talent all around you. And if that makes me "easy to please," then well... That means I'm pleased more often! And why should I want to apologize for that?

Most Mercenaries also are hired in groups because their origins are as soldiers. You use Mercenaries to bolster your army or to act as army if you lack one, they're good for anything you need paid gruntwork for.
Why Was Alyssea killed if Victor didn't know Grace was who he was looking for at the time? Simple, a combination of Revenge (Alyessa was one of the key people in Umbrella's downfall, alongside Yoko she ensured the truth about bioweapon experiments came to light and made sure the public was aware during the entire court proceedings) and her investigative prowess, she was likely in Wrenwood tracking down a lead on the connection's activities, so they silenced her before she could become a problem for them again, a wise move considering they had seen her help take down umbrella and survive the hell of raccoon city, they knew she was no pushover (and in outbreak she is obstensibly the most combat capable female character, serious badass energy).
As for the photos of grace from that day? Likely them collecting things to use to threaten her if she got away, use Grace as leverage "We'll hurt your daughter, back off. We got THIS close before." And later when Gideon realized Grace was the one he was looking for, the child that was important to his master for reasons he disn't fully understand, he simply dug up the photos and put together his scheme, having the connections manipulate the situation to get her there alone.
Cause its come up about if the attack was targeted at Alyssa or Grace I present the connecrions report on the event.
They call their man an "Assassin" so he was there to terminate Alyssa.

You know recently I said the phrase "My Spider Mercenaries" and got to thinking about the arrangement of letting spiders live in your house to eat flying insects.
Is it strange to love arachnids and find them a lovely roomate to let have a corner of the room to web up? They pay their rent in devoured flies and mosquitos a plenty. Nature's glue trap!
Honestly if Elpis is replicateable from the recovered doses not used on Leon, Emily or Zeno, Claire is going to be so happy to have a cure to offer victims of bioterror in her NGO work.
Rebbecca is going to be ON THAT to study it for future super antiviral work beyond just bioweapons, she'll be all over it for understanding its workings to apply to other disease cures since it REVERSES MUTATIONS AND WHAT IS CANCER BUT RAMPANT MUTATIONS.
Thr non combatant girls would be THRIVING.
Reqiuem saying goodbye to the Progenitor Virus and Umbrella's entire legacy really opens the door for more creative monster sources going forward. A new era with the past finally settled, the old villians put to rest, now the slate's clean for dealing with whatever the Connections cooks up in being unable to repurpose old umbrella projects.
The Subtle Cruelty of Gideon's Staff in charge of the clone girls. Cataracts are highly treatable, easily solvable with the medical technology and surgical skills on hand at the facility. But the girls are lab rats, it would be a 'waste' to give them the kindness of sight.
Its really telling how in the epilouge we instantly have Emily regaining sight because on her government paycheck / insurance through work Grace could easily afford the treatment for Emily.
Emily was only blind because of medical cruelty.
Oh its gonna be so funny seeing the two sides on this. Half the internet's gonna love Requiem and Half is gonna hate it its gonna be so interesting to see the same thing be called a critique point while someone else praises it. I wonder how many parts are gonna be so perfectly 50/50 or if I will find an actual part everyone agrees on.
My favorite part of the broadness of the internet.

This is why you need to eat enough. Hot pockets and ramen are not enough to hold off hangry. I should not be this emotional about shit. You get hungry enough you realize that ultimately the sins of your kindred weigh so heavily you need to suicide bomb the nearest government office to even have a hope of redeeming yourself in the eyes of those who your country and kin have oppressed and fucked over for infinite generations since the first crackerjack stumbled out of europe.
People can be upset and people will be upset but please for the love of creativity be mindful of what the hell your actually saying to someone.
Let's not bully people while morally grand standing. And Especially don't go assuming malice about everything, that wins nothing.
It feels like in these days the term Honest Mistake is long lost.
Instead we gotta make people feel horrible and assume they knew and did it all on purpose.
How many innocents did you beat down instead of educate?
Learn the difference between educating a mistake and beating people up out of a sense of moral superiority because culture failed them.
Ugh... Remember kids everyone in the world wants someone else in the world to die because human history is so damn fucked up. Humanity truely does end in violence because we've gone past where peace would be deemed possible (And that was before anyone set foot in another country from any other country so game was rigged from the start.)
