I like to think Puzzles knew he was gay early on but never found himself drawn to anyone (his upbringing, isolation, and overall high standards from the couples he saw on TV could have played a part in that), he did want that true and honest connection with someone but eventually pushed it aside to focused on his work... then Wpnz came along and maybe eventually Puzzles learned he was Demi-aroace due to the genuine strong bond that he had with Wpnz. :)
As for Wpnz, I think he'd not be too fussed with labels so he uses Bi as an umbrella term :D (just like me fr, Idk what flags best describe me anymore so I'm just vibing with the "unlabled queer" title now :) anyways enough about me lol- ).
