i try to fit in, but i'm not where i'm supposed to be
Platonic love is so underrated like y'all talk about skin and kisses but why does no one talk about how someone can adore you for your intellect, your wit, for all your soul. Its not about your looks, your body, but for your mind? The kind of love that doesn't possess you, that doesn't want you for your body. Its a deep-rooted devotion, just a glance from the beloved is enough to cause the havoc within.
Oh to be loved and understood for the things you believe in, for the things you do, and for the things you feel.
The Renaissance knew this kind of love, the courtly love. It wasn't just romance, it was admiration, a spiritual yearning for once presence. There were sonnets written about the way you could ache for someone's being, how you can feel without needing to touch, how you can fall in love with the way their thoughts unfold, how you can be moved by the way they talk about their interests and their eyes lit up.
Oh and Sidney, the way he wrote hundreds of sonnets for the woman he loved knowing full well that she cannot be his. Sidney did not need to hold stella to love her, hell she didn't even reciprocate the feelings. But he loved her, and worshipped her like his muse.
I think platonic love is belittled and often misunderstood. But it's greater than romantic love. In fact, for me it's the foundation of romantic love. I want the kind of love that burns slow, the kind of love where you remember my words more than my kiss, where you would love my mind even if it's messy, tired and yet beautiful in its own essence.

But good God, what's wrong with me, after all? What am I missing ? Why this emptiness, this nostalgia? What is this anxiety ? As if I only loved something I didn't know?
do i overthink or am i just extremely detail oriented abt my self destruction
i don’t even need a relationship i need someone to physically exhaust me so i stop overthinking

Today's aesthetic: when a cat decides it's going to make a very difficult or precise jump, spends several minutes examining the problem from all angles and warming up its muscles and minutely adjusting the positions of its paws and such, then proceeds to totally eat shit.
