Mora rolled her eyes. “Look, I won’t get cancer and I just want to tan. This pretty girl would like to stay pretty.”

“I’m sure you’d be pretty without the tan,“ he said nonchalantly. He wasn’t going to fight with her though. If she wanted to deal with the consequences of staying under the sun too long, that was her choice. 

“It was nice chatting with you.“ He turned to leave, waving to someone off in the distance.

Mora glared. Why was he being rude? There was no reason for it. “Well then it will be my cancer and you have no say in it. Beat it.” She snapped, crossing her arms and watching him. 

Cassius looked down at her, a brow raised in amusement. “Most pretty girls don’t want cancer. Don’t like the idea of what it’ll do to them.”

Marisol smiled broadly and nodded her head. “Yeah! It’s beautiful. The next time we go there, I’ll ask my dad if you can come with us. It’s in South America. Beautiful and a lot of fun. Everyone is friendly there… Well, almost everyone.”

She nodded her head and smiled at the thought. “I love fishes. I love all animals.”

Cassius liked the way that she spoke about El Dorado. She seemed quite passionate about it. “I would love to visit El Dorado with you. It sounds like it would be a great adventure!”

When she mentioned that she loved all animals, he couldn’t help but chuckle. “I think you and my mother would get along quite well. Before she met my dad, she was friends with a bunch of mice, and birds. Of course, there was also Bruno, her dog. Oh, and Major, the horse.” 

Eventually he would get to admitting that he had his own set of animal friends.

GLASS======Mora could almost growl at the person standing in her sun. She had wanted to lounge by the beach, get some sun and try to ignore the will to decorate her room with the most gold she could get her hands on, though she would probably do that anyways.

“Can you move? I’m trying to get some sun and you’re standing in the way.”

Cassius had decided to stop along the beach - no where in particular; barely even noticing that there was someone lounging in the chair next to him. His arms were crossed over his chest as he stared out over the open water. “The sun’ll give you cancer,” he stated, barely giving the girl much attention.

“Uh, pretty sure all the rooms have a bathroom,“ he said pointing his thumb over his shoulder towards the door that was left ajar. “Not sure about bandages though.“

Cassius simply stared at the wound on his hand. He’d never had something quite this serious happen to him before. He was shocked. He’d handled plenty of swords before, but they’d all had protective guards on them. “That’s....oh, shit, that’s a lot of blood.” It was more blood than he’d ever seen before.

“Yep! My dad and I travel around the world. My favorite place, though, is either Spain or El Dorado. It’s difficult to decide.” She admitted. Her eyes widened at the idea of him eating fish. She loved animals so much that the idea of eating them made her feel queasy. “Do you ever feed the goldfish?” She asked.

He often wondered what it would be like to travel the world. See the different things that it had to offer. “Wait! El Dorado? The fabled, missing City of Gold? That El Dorado?” Cassius often found his lessons to be rather boring. That is, until legends and myths are brought up. “It’s real? As in, you can go there?”

In his excitement, he almost forgot to answer her question about the goldfish. “Sometimes. I think the people who take care of the garden usually do it though.”

“Understandable, and sometimes they do. It just surprised me.” She grinned at him. “If we live by the beach, they have fish, but if we’re farther into the city or country, then we only see fish in tanks or ponds or lakes. Oh! And rivers. I usually see them more at the beach, though.”

“Do you move around a lot?“ he asked, picking up on the possibility. “Usually, the only time I see fish is at the market, or on my dinner plate.“ It was rare for the royal family to go to the beach. “There’s a massive pool with a bunch of toy fish. And sometimes there are little goldfish in the fountain in the garden.“

“Okay, Cas” She grinned and swam back out into the ocean. “I just wanted to make sure because I know some people would’ve found it very rude, and I don’t want to be rude.”

She squealed when she felt something run up against her feet. She looked down and laughed. “Oh Dios mio. It was just a fish.”

He understood why she was being thorough. If she’d been in the castle, there were people who liked to follow protocol, and if you didn’t - well. “We’re on a vacation, of sorts, I’d like to get away from all the royal protocol.” He couldn’t help the small chuckle that escaped him when she squealed. “Don’t tell me they don’t have fish from where you’re from,” he said, half joking.

Marisol pursed her lips and looked up at the sky in thought. “Doesn’t ring a bell.” She admitted after a few moments. “Um…” She started to swim closer to land. Once her feet touched the sand and she was a bit out of the water, she gave a small curtesy. “Sorry for my impoliteness, Your Highness… Wait, is it Your Highness or Your Majesty?” She questioned.

The fact that she was unfamiliar with his family seemed to confuse him - but at the same time it was quite a relief. Sure, she already knew he was a prince, but without the expectations of his family in her mind, it would be a bit easier to be more himself. 

“Technically, your  Highness, but please just call me Cas.“ He really didn’t like the whole ‘your highness’ bit, especially not in a casual setting such as this. “And you really don’t need to curtsy.“

“Sounds like Spain.” She stated. “There are certain parts where there are a lot of ports but no beaches. Those cities are fun, though, too, even though there are technically no beaches around.” She smiled before her brain fully caught up to what he said. “Wait, a castle? You live in a castle?” She stopped floating and looked towards him “Are you a prince!?” She practically shouted.

Cas let out a small chuckle at her reaction. One would assume she’d never met royalty before. “Uh, yeah.” What other kind of response could he give her? It wasn’t like he was in hiding, or anything. “Uh, my parents are Cinderella and Kit Charming.” He didn’t want to boast, but his family was kind of a big deal.
