YES THIS IS ANOTHER POST ABOUT NOORA SAETRE AND SEASON 2 SO SIT DOWN

I really dislike how several individuals in the Skam community tear down season 2 and reduce it to a season just about Noora and Wilhelm’s fairytale romance. In my honest opinion, season 2 is so important! 

In season 1, we see Noora as such a confident, almost perfect young lady (powerful feminist, confident, stylish, pretty), but season 2 gives us a peak into Noora’s actual life. She’s lived a PRETTY lonely life, guys--she’s faced serious abandonment from her parents and past relationship (remember: GOING TO MADRID AT AGE 15 BECAUSE LACK OF PARENTAL AFFECTION AND CONCERN and TRUSTING SOMEONE YOU CARE ABOUT WITH YOUR BODY BUT GETTING USED AT AGE 13). As a result, she convinces herself that dealing with her problems alone is the best option. 

Season 2 is the season we see Noora open up. Her little note on the wall comes to life; she gives Wilhelm a chance. In turn, he changes. Admittedly Wilhelm is a little fucking asswipe, but he CHANGES. He genuinely cares about Noora and we see that in so many ways (helps Noora through her anxiety without question, listens to her and tells Noora that she is and should be loved, trusts her enough not to snoop through her facebook messages, writes her article for her, etc.)! 

SEASON 2 IS THE SEASON NOORA GROWS AS A PERSON. SHE REALIZES THAT “PEOPLE NEED PEOPLE.” YES, NOORA, YES!! PEOPLE DO NEED PEOPLE AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL THAT SHE HAS FINALLY REALIZED THAT. SHE ROSE TO THE TOP BY THE END OF THE SEASON, FUCKING WRECKED WILHELM’S DUMBASS BROTHER, AND LOVES HER FRIENDS.

So stfu about season 2, okay??? I AGREE SEASON 4 IS A MESS AND SANA DESERVES MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER, but don’t tear down season 2 because of that.

can everyone hop off of noora's dick and not prematurely judge her noora isn't necessarily saying "HeY lEtS taLk AbOuT mE" only what if she wants to help sana, doesn't know how to, and as a result looks for an excuse like "hey i have some good news" to talk to her IF ITS NOT THAT maybe noora just wants to share some good news with her friend to get sana's mind off of stressful things anyway the point is to not judge noora so quickly as long as she has no bad intentions towards sana, y'all have to remember noora is FLAWED not fuckig evil

hay so i have a huge thing for lgbt films so heres a list you should check out on netflix if u want

i’m no film critic so...enjoy whatever this is :-) in no particular order:

1. the way he looks dir. daniel ribeiro 

WOOOO boy this film totally rocks, i loved every single part of it. it was the first lgbt film i’ve ever watched on my own (it opened my eyes to a whole new genre of film and coming-of-age stories). i know i said in no particular order, but tbh this is one of my faves. also, i personally like this so much bc i know this film means something to my brother as well

2. jonges dir. mischa kamp

loved this too, super sweet. unlike the way he looks, this film added a little more of what it’s like to struggle with your sexuality....still this movie gave me the twisty turny feeling in my stomach...which is good :-) also i liked the cinematography a lot

3. weekend dir. andrew haigh

HA when i found out this was part of the criterion collection i SQUEALED because this film deserves so much! it feels so real and its so raw. not sure how to explain this film...it felt much more...grown up then the previous two films i listed. it relies heavily on dialogue which may sound dumb (when i say it), but it’s true! it’s just my opinion. loved it.

4. holding the man dir. neil armfield

i think this was literally just added to netflix and when i saw it i nearly died bc it has been recommended to me so many times. don’t want to spoil too much, but i love the way the timeline spread out and how you could see the lgbt community and culture spread its wings during those years. good stuff, sad stuff, but i liked it soo much

5. 4th man out dir. andrew nackman

i actually found myself laughing out loud during parts of this film, but i mean...it is a comedy. it’s definitely a feel-good film. i put this film off for awhile bc i was kinda worried it would be offensive at times, but i mean it wasn’t (as far as i remember...if otherwise, sorry). i watched this awhile back, so i can’t remember much but HEY i remember liking it at the end. so yeah. take it.

these are the few that are on netflix that i’ve enjoyed but i mean, there’s always:

carol, brokeback mountain, MY BEAUTIFUL LAUNDRETTE, and uh yeah i can’t think of anymore at the top of my head BECAUSE MY JAW HURTS SO FUCKING MUCH (i just got my wisdom teeth removed)

i’ve spent the last few hours reading through his interviews and i love how honest he is about the film industry and his personal life

and the fact that he’s overcome a really serious drug addiction and the fact that he’s cool with interviewers asking him about it and the fact that he’s so genuine when he speaks about his experiences and how he feels about the drug industry

he’s also incredibly hilarious and an amazing actor and takes on roles that are so diverse and odd and great????

i’ve been gone for awhile and so many things have been bothering me for awhile

so i figure its easier to just talk about things one by one

first, anton’s death makes my heart hurt so much

i was thinking of writing a huge paragraph about what an absolute angel and talent he is, but it’s really difficult to put things into words while his passing is making my head twist and turn

thank you anton for being an amazing chekov and being a wonderful soul

i’ve completed four years of high school english and i’m amazed at all the books i’ve read

my favorites are probably:

1. catcher in the rye

2. huckleberry finn

3. grapes of wrath

to be honest....i love all the books i’ve read like no kidding

i loved reading the iliad, othello, hamlet, the great gatsby, night, fahrenheit 451, crime and punishment

but those three were so fun to analyze for some reason and i could easily list five more books but y’know what

i’m going to stop blabbing

four years of high school english...what a ride :’)
