Do you know how hard I worked for us to have accidental eye contact
@mulciverish
h-jcnes:
“Sexy ways?” She teased with a grin. “Sneak into his room at night. I’m kidding of course… need me to make a diversion one day? I’m good at that.”
“Of course, why not.” She laughed. “I have never been to the Slytherin common room, I should make it my goal to sneak into that one and the Ravenclaw one before the end of the year. Help is always welcomed.”
gdipotter:
It took all the strength James had for him not to laugh. He couldn’t be that cruel, not when she was genuinely freaking out for some reason. If anything her nervousness made him more curious about who she was possibly thinking of asking to the event. Looking up at her, he nodded, keeping up the act. “What ball?” He asked, blinking slowly. “And what do you mean secretly? Are you afraid or concerned that you will be spotted with me? I don’t know if this is off to a good start.”
Glenda stared at him, getting ready to hex or punch him. It was an act though, so it was expected that he’d make it as Potter-y as he possibly could. She grinned at him, rolling a strand of hair with her finger. “The one at the end of the week, obviously.” she shook her head. “and of course not, silly, it’s meant to be annonymous, maybe I can tell you what I’m going to wear or we could meet somewhere. So what do you say?”
ofdecks:
“Is it too late to go through my emo phase? Sounds like fun.” He shrugged and pulled out his phone. Doc texted her a link for what was supposed to be a groupon, but was actually a Rickroll. “You know what I’m really looking forward to?” purposefully changing the subject, “green haired Glen. What shade of green are we thinking?”
“Is it ever too late to say sorry? No, so of course is not late to be emo. Be emo with me, we’ll listen to great screamo together.” Glenda said, a bit too fascinated with the idea. She checked her phone and jokingly glared at him. “That just better be a groupon, Caradoc Dearborn, and I’m thinking a fluorescent green that glows in the dark.”
gdipotter:
James laughed, talking to Glenda usually never got anywhere but it was fun aggravating someone more dramatic than him. “I thought you had forgotten all about that little accident, I can only say sorry so much, you know?” He mused, running his fingers through his hair. “I’ve got an idea, what if you hypothetically ask me as practice. Then you could at least get an idea of what’s to come.”
Glenda began to pace back and forth, she knew she was acting more nervous than she cared to admit but she couldn’t help herself. “I’m not afraid of the answer I’m going to get, Potter…” she stopped herself, knowing he wouldn’t believe that. “fine, I am, but shut up about it.” She said pointing a finger at him as she came to a stop in front of him. “Hey there I have an idea, why don’t we secretly go to the ball together?”
lionevxns:
“Now I’m even more intrigued.” Lily raised an eyebrow. “If taking him down is what you’re after, count me in.”
“It’s a long story, I can tell you all about it when I know I won’t be hexed for it,” she laughed. “I’m happy I have your support.”
amelicboncs:
“I’d suggest not going up to him at all and just waiting for him to ask you.” Amelia said with a shrug. “As you can possibly see, I’m over boys.”
“Why does everyone keep offering that as a suitable option? Like, it’s out of the question.” Glenda frustratedly shook her head and sighed. “You being over boys is the same as hell freezing over.”
dxriusk:
“I know it might be mundane but why don’t you just ask them? That’s all the help I’m providing before I start charging.”
“I don’t do mundane, Darius Knight, that’s so bland.” She said and shook her head. “I can’t pay you without a guarantee that it will work. You need to give me insurance or whatever that word is.”
ofdecks:
“Glenda- I’m almost positive that emo will never give you up, let you down, run around, or desert you.” He sat his head down on the table, cocking it to the side so that he was still making eye contact. “Meh. Haven’t decided. I hate open spaces and- everyone we go to school with, really.”
“Will emo Rickroll me though? I can’t have it do that to me, no matter how green my hair is!” Glenda laughed. “If you don’t go I will make scene, emo kids are well known to do that.” She said, poking his forehead. “And excuse you, I’m unhateable.”
mulciverish:
At the sound of Glenda’s voice he stopped, deliberating turning around and telling her another horrible thing that would ensure that she stayed away from him, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it. “Not much is new besides that, believe it or not.” Vale replied before picking up his pace again. “Why waste my time, even if I tried to make you disappear you would fine a way to come back and haunt me. You are just that desperate for my attention.”
“You are hilarious, I am dying of laughter right now.” Glenda said, looking up at him disappointedly. She always had a hard time figuring out why he had even bothered with her over the summer. It was clear that he had only be playing, it was still upsetting that Glenda could not see past that. “I really don’t think you understand my reason for being here. I just had a question, it has nothing to do with your attention. I know I’ll never have that again.”
gdipotter:
James’ eyes widened at her words. He was not aware that she could over exaggerate that much, but he was proved wrong again. “Alright, I can leave, but who is the unlucky, I mean lucky person?”
“You must have been dropped on your head as a baby if you think I would ever tell you.” Did he really expect her to tell him.... he obviously didn’t know girls. “My question was hypothetical anyways, so I don’t know why you are suddenly so curious. It’s not you, by the way, can’t give you that satisfaction. Again.”
pandorafancourt:
Emotions weren’t about other people for Pandora. She really didn’t like putting on any sort of show for people. The fact that no one was watching was really a blessing. She didn’t need the her having an emotional breakdown going around the school. “I appreciate what you’re saying but that doesn’t necessarily make it true,” she said honestly. She shook her head. It wasn’t just boys and it was mostly one boy. “Yeah, no offense but I don’t need the whole school knowing my business.”
"It doesn’t make it true because you are stubborn to see the light at the end of the tunnel right now.” Glenda said, sitting down next to her. Apparently this was going to take a lot longer than she thought. “I am not the entire school, I’m just a girl going through boy problems too and I’m willing to listen, but if you don’t want to talk about it, then that’s ok. Just ask yourself whether he’s worth all this trouble.”
ofregulusandruin:
“So you’re what? asking me to play matchmaker?” Somehow Regulus had just known this would happen, every time a ball rolled around some girl or guy would always come up and ask for his help though usually it was for his brother Sirius and not other Slytherins.
“Uh, no way. I have a very specific person in mind. I just can’t think of anyone uninterested enough to help me without ratting me out or whatever.” Glenda explained. “It’s really not that difficult, puh-lease.”
profxcoombs:
“See I’m not falling for this reverse logic,“ Professor Coombs was sure to point out. As easy as it would have been to go that route, she wasn’t going to. She had to be a somewhat respectable adult and lead the students the best she could. She listened nevertheless, prepared to give whatever advice seemed fair enough. “Well even if he doesn’t say yes, there are others who will dance with you there. Sometimes, it takes boys a little longer to figure things out. As you can see, I’m still waiting for that actually.”
“That’s a shame, I thought I had gotten really good at it, maybe not.” She shrugged. Glenda wasn’t looking for a lecture, but it was always nice to get some suggestions from an unbiased adult. “I hope so, I haven’t paid attention to that many boys since school started. And no way, I’m sure it’s because you are stuck seeing the same people over and over again. Professors need to live a little.”
h-jcnes:
“Mulciber hmm…. that may be a little tougher…” She let out a sigh. “Guess you already have your answer. Walk up to him and tell him he’s your date then refuse to hear anything else.”
"Maybe, maybe not. I have ways to get to him.” She grinned. “Stubbornness has always been my forte, I just now have to find him alone. This is such a struggle.”
wtfmckinnon:
“I still need to find a bloody date first and then you can follow him around.”
“I’m all set actually, I have my eyes set on a certain someone, just have to get more details. As for you, you could go with Peeves if you so pleased. It’s easy.”
ofdecks:
“Yeah- sure er- I think that’s punk rock.” He’d been joking, but good for her. “S’you’re trying to impress someone?”
“Or emo, is that still a thing? I was too young back then to appreciate the statement.” she laughed. “Impress, scare, one or the other. Are you going?”
