Do you know how hard I worked for us to have accidental eye contact
@mulciverish
h-jcnes:
âSexy ways?â She teased with a grin. âSneak into his room at night. Iâm kidding of course⊠need me to make a diversion one day? Iâm good at that.â
âOf course, why not.â She laughed. âI have never been to the Slytherin common room, I should make it my goal to sneak into that one and the Ravenclaw one before the end of the year. Help is always welcomed.â
gdipotter:
It took all the strength James had for him not to laugh. He couldnât be that cruel, not when she was genuinely freaking out for some reason. If anything her nervousness made him more curious about who she was possibly thinking of asking to the event. Looking up at her, he nodded, keeping up the act. âWhat ball?â He asked, blinking slowly. âAnd what do you mean secretly? Are you afraid or concerned that you will be spotted with me? I donât know if this is off to a good start.â
Glenda stared at him, getting ready to hex or punch him. It was an act though, so it was expected that heâd make it as Potter-y as he possibly could. She grinned at him, rolling a strand of hair with her finger. âThe one at the end of the week, obviously.â she shook her head. âand of course not, silly, itâs meant to be annonymous, maybe I can tell you what Iâm going to wear or we could meet somewhere. So what do you say?â
ofdecks:
âIs it too late to go through my emo phase? Sounds like fun.â He shrugged and pulled out his phone. Doc texted her a link for what was supposed to be a groupon, but was actually a Rickroll. âYou know what Iâm really looking forward to?â purposefully changing the subject, âgreen haired Glen. What shade of green are we thinking?â
âIs it ever too late to say sorry? No, so of course is not late to be emo. Be emo with me, weâll listen to great screamo together.â Glenda said, a bit too fascinated with the idea. She checked her phone and jokingly glared at him. âThat just better be a groupon, Caradoc Dearborn, and Iâm thinking a fluorescent green that glows in the dark.âÂ
gdipotter:
James laughed, talking to Glenda usually never got anywhere but it was fun aggravating someone more dramatic than him. âI thought you had forgotten all about that little accident, I can only say sorry so much, you know?â He mused, running his fingers through his hair. âIâve got an idea, what if you hypothetically ask me as practice. Then you could at least get an idea of whatâs to come.â
Glenda began to pace back and forth, she knew she was acting more nervous than she cared to admit but she couldnât help herself. âIâm not afraid of the answer Iâm going to get, PotterâŠâ she stopped herself, knowing he wouldnât believe that. âfine, I am, but shut up about it.â She said pointing a finger at him as she came to a stop in front of him. âHey there I have an idea, why donât we secretly go to the ball together?âÂ
lionevxns:
âNow Iâm even more intrigued.â Lily raised an eyebrow. âIf taking him down is what youâre after, count me in.âÂ
âItâs a long story, I can tell you all about it when I know I wonât be hexed for it,â she laughed. âIâm happy I have your support.âÂ
amelicboncs:
âIâd suggest not going up to him at all and just waiting for him to ask you.â Amelia said with a shrug. âAs you can possibly see, Iâm over boys.âÂ
âWhy does everyone keep offering that as a suitable option? Like, itâs out of the question.â Glenda frustratedly shook her head and sighed. âYou being over boys is the same as hell freezing over.âÂ
dxriusk:
âI know it might be mundane but why donât you just ask them? Thatâs all the help Iâm providing before I start charging.âÂ
âI donât do mundane, Darius Knight, thatâs so bland.â She said and shook her head. âI canât pay you without a guarantee that it will work. You need to give me insurance or whatever that word is.âÂ
ofdecks:
âGlenda- Iâm almost positive that emo will never give you up, let you down, run around, or desert you.â He sat his head down on the table, cocking it to the side so that he was still making eye contact. âMeh. Havenât decided. I hate open spaces and- everyone we go to school with, really.â
âWill emo Rickroll me though? I canât have it do that to me, no matter how green my hair is!â Glenda laughed. âIf you donât go I will make scene, emo kids are well known to do that.â She said, poking his forehead. âAnd excuse you, Iâm unhateable.â Â
mulciverish:
At the sound of Glendaâs voice he stopped, deliberating turning around and telling her another horrible thing that would ensure that she stayed away from him, but he couldnât bring himself to do it. âNot much is new besides that, believe it or not.â Vale replied before picking up his pace again. âWhy waste my time, even if I tried to make you disappear you would fine a way to come back and haunt me. You are just that desperate for my attention.â
âYou are hilarious, I am dying of laughter right now.â Glenda said, looking up at him disappointedly. She always had a hard time figuring out why he had even bothered with her over the summer. It was clear that he had only be playing, it was still upsetting that Glenda could not see past that. âI really donât think you understand my reason for being here. I just had a question, it has nothing to do with your attention. I know Iâll never have that again.â
gdipotter:
Jamesâ eyes widened at her words. He was not aware that she could over exaggerate that much, but he was proved wrong again. âAlright, I can leave, but who is the unlucky, I mean lucky person?â
âYou must have been dropped on your head as a baby if you think I would ever tell you.â Did he really expect her to tell him.... he obviously didnât know girls. âMy question was hypothetical anyways, so I donât know why you are suddenly so curious. Itâs not you, by the way, canât give you that satisfaction. Again.â
pandorafancourt:
Emotions werenât about other people for Pandora. She really didnât like putting on any sort of show for people. The fact that no one was watching was really a blessing. She didnât need the her having an emotional breakdown going around the school. âI appreciate what youâre saying but that doesnât necessarily make it true,â she said honestly. She shook her head. It wasnât just boys and it was mostly one boy. âYeah, no offense but I donât need the whole school knowing my business.â
"It doesnât make it true because you are stubborn to see the light at the end of the tunnel right now.â Glenda said, sitting down next to her. Apparently this was going to take a lot longer than she thought. âI am not the entire school, Iâm just a girl going through boy problems too and Iâm willing to listen, but if you donât want to talk about it, then thatâs ok. Just ask yourself whether heâs worth all this trouble.âÂ
ofregulusandruin:
âSo youâre what? asking me to play matchmaker?â Somehow Regulus had just known this would happen, every time a ball rolled around some girl or guy would always come up and ask for his help though usually it was for his brother Sirius and not other Slytherins.Â
âUh, no way. I have a very specific person in mind. I just canât think of anyone uninterested enough to help me without ratting me out or whatever.â Glenda explained. âItâs really not that difficult, puh-lease.â
profxcoombs:
âSee Iâm not falling for this reverse logic,â Professor Coombs was sure to point out. As easy as it would have been to go that route, she wasnât going to. She had to be a somewhat respectable adult and lead the students the best she could. She listened nevertheless, prepared to give whatever advice seemed fair enough. âWell even if he doesnât say yes, there are others who will dance with you there. Sometimes, it takes boys a little longer to figure things out. As you can see, Iâm still waiting for that actually.â
âThatâs a shame, I thought I had gotten really good at it, maybe not.â She shrugged. Glenda wasnât looking for a lecture, but it was always nice to get some suggestions from an unbiased adult. âI hope so, I havenât paid attention to that many boys since school started. And no way, Iâm sure itâs because you are stuck seeing the same people over and over again. Professors need to live a little.âÂ
h-jcnes:
âMulciber hmmâŠ. that may be a little tougherâŠâ She let out a sigh. âGuess you already have your answer. Walk up to him and tell him heâs your date then refuse to hear anything else.â
"Maybe, maybe not. I have ways to get to him.â She grinned. âStubbornness has always been my forte, I just now have to find him alone. This is such a struggle.â
wtfmckinnon:
âI still need to find a bloody date first and then you can follow him around.â
âIâm all set actually, I have my eyes set on a certain someone, just have to get more details. As for you, you could go with Peeves if you so pleased. Itâs easy.â
ofdecks:
âYeah- sure er- I think thatâs punk rock.â Heâd been joking, but good for her.  âSâyouâre trying to impress someone?â
âOr emo, is that still a thing? I was too young back then to appreciate the statement.â she laughed. âImpress, scare, one or the other. Are you going?â
