Influences of the alphabet seat
· I felt the alphabet seat must be colourful and playful as children react to colourful items quicker than they with dull and dark coloured items. also felt that the seat hand help the child learn the alphabet as it will be used in the learning environment. Another constraint that I concluded from my research is than children are inquisitive and needed to be challenged. I learn this from a video I watched when I was researching learning environments. This video can be found onthis blog it is called “ how do we design learning environments for future”.
Nokia 888 Concept
it's a flexible touch screen phone that can be folded or angled in a numerous forms this ultra light weight touch screen also runs on a liquid battery. this phone may not be made in the near future but its an interesting concept and if the phone was ever made it would an innovation in phone technology.
Kitchen tidy/clean project
Motorised Brilo pad
I believe that the motorised Brilo pad will be of great benefit to help keep the kitchen first because it is design to clean dishes which evidently helps keep the kitchen, but secondly it was design to replace the average Brilo which need much elbow grease to clean most hard, grubby stains while the motorised Brilo pad takes the physical effort out of cleaning, Thus giving you more time to do other chores in kitchen.

Back to the Future 2 - Nike Air 2015 Kicks

This video from the Aspen ideas festival 2011 on "how do we design the learning environments of the future" is very interesting and inspiring for what learning environments can be in the years to come.
This design of a person parking space by spring time is entry for a design competition in Milan called Duepercinque. The aim of the competition was to develop a creative solution for a parking spot of 2×5 meter , returning it to the public domain in a positive way. but I would like to be sitting on the edge of this on a busy road and suddenly get sideswiped by a bus.

The Lazy Teapot by Lotte Alpert is a porcelain teapot which connected to a holding station which can boil the water in the teapot, also it can be swayed in a forward direction so that the tea can easily poured into a cup without lifting the teapot.
I believe this design would be great for those who suffer from arthritis as they don't have to lift the teapot which literary takes the weight off their hands.

This tells all you need to know about what is in a MP3 player and how it functions
Activity 2 Technology.
The NVDRS Tape by Stefano Pertegato, Massimiliano Rampoldi, Eloisa Tolu, Francesco Schiraldi & Giovanni Mendini challenges our perception of a familiar of the everyday mp3 player which has a nice digital screen and modern technology. As it harnesses the modern technology of the mp3 player but combines it with the out dated technology of a cassette tape. My opinion of the practicality of the retro/mp3 player is a bad one. firstly you only hold 45 songs on this mp3 player, so immediately it is beaten by most digital mp3 player which can hold a larger storage space for songs. but for anyone who wants to bring some nostalgia in to their and remind them of the good old days of cassette tapes it is a neat gift, as you can charge it on the go by using your finger in the hole marked change and simply twist until the light goes green and you can use the other hole to fast forward and rewind the music. all in all it a nice nostalgic piece but not very practical.
This is my wheelie bin concept where I use the technology of garage roller doors for the lid.
Here is an example of the garage roller door and I believe that this could be used for the lid, as it will not be caught by the wind and it prevent people from rummaging in your bin as well.
Design thinking workshop
I felt that the process was very helpful as it can give lots of ideas over a short period of time. but it does not mean all of these ideas are viable or even good ideas. Altogether the process gives you good and bad ideas, but when you combine a good and bad idea you can find some interesting creative concepts. basically you have to make the most of this process yourself and so if you are not enthusiastic about, you might not get the results you were expecting.
