Glimmer, having extremely painful cramps at dinner, realises that she's started her period. Bow does what he can to help her feel better.

Some hurt/comfort, some fluff, and a lot of Glimbow.

My way of coping with SPoP being taken off of Netflix because for the last 5 years, it's been my Pride Month tradition to rewatch the show, and now I can't.

The curse sends Glimmer to her knees, the impact to her joints less than the pain screeching through her muscles.

"Glimmer!"

By the time Adora's next to her, the surge has passed. It leaves Glimmer panting, and she wants Bow's arms around her again, even as she wants to ride all this out alone. She's strong and brave, and she hates seeing the worry on her friend's faces.

Even Adora is worried, but it's more than that. Guilt twists her face.

It's not Adora's fault Glimmer got kidnapped, tortured, and cursed. Glimmer had dropped her surveillance of Scorpia, too focused on personal matters. Adora had come to her rescue.

Glimmer can't think of what to say to ease her friend's mind because those same thoughts echo in Glimmer's brain – that she got Bow kidnapped, Adora tortured, and Entrapta killed. She knows it's wrong. It's still a thought she has.

Glimmer is the pilot of the fearsome Bright Moon mech with Bow as her faithful crew chief. The two friends have been together with the Rebellion for years, fighting the good fight, until one day Prime shows up and turns the tide against them. Now, things may never be the same for the Rebellion or for Glimmer and Bow themselves.

"Bow, I told you, you've got to stop beating yourself up about that. It was an accident! The visibility was bad, she darted out of nowhere, even the police said it was no fault—" "Not that. Well, I mean, I guess a little that. But it's more like... Do you think it would be weird if I asked her out?" "Yes," Adora said at the exact same time that Catra said, "Nah, go for it."

Incidentally, we're making a little game of this, taking this same prompt and writing it with different SPOP ships and so far we have Catradora, Castaweaver and two different takes on Seamista lined up, but we're happy to include more so lmk if you want to join the fun!

“I’m just saying, respectfully,” Adora said. “You’re both being fucking idiots.” Glimmer waved her off. “There is no way to respectfully call someone a fucking idiot.” “Bow’s just too considerate to make the first move unless he’s 100% sure it’s what you want. If you don’t say something, you’ll both be in this holding pattern forever.” Glimmer rolled her eyes. “This feels tremendously hypocritical. How long did it take for you and Catra to get your shit together?” “That was when I was young and foolish.” “And now, a mere month later, you’re older and wiser?” “Exactly.” Adora hip-checked her. “Bow is so ready to love you as soon as you give him the go-ahead. And I know you want that too and are just being a dumbass about it.” “Wow, so I’m a ‘fucking idiot’ and a ‘dumbass’ and all before 9 am. Screw you.” Glimmer gave Adora the finger, though she wasn’t actually mad about it. She’d said far worse to Adora and Catra when the two of them had been fluttering uselessly around each other for what felt like a century of homoerotic pining. “Go to class, Adora.” - Glimmer commiserates to Adora about her feelings for Bow except maybe Adora doesn't get the text message.

Here is the description I originally wrote for the artwork...

When her publisher agrees for a book tour for the final book in her fantasy trilogy, Glimmer Queen sees it as a chance to pay it forward by visiting all the indie bookshops that have hand-sold her books into bestsellers over the years. But when her team (agent Catra, publicity manager Adora) set up a stop at a small queer bookstore in the middle of nowhere, Glimmer knows they're up to something. Probably a publicity stunt since a little snooping reveals the gay couple who own the bookstore are the fathers of her cover model, the beefy guy whose chiseled abs are probably responsible for half the sales of her cheesy bisexual fire elf series.   

Glimmer's not thrilled about being thrown into proximity with what's probably some muscled meathead gym-bro, but anything for her readers! At least she doesn't have to worry about being nervous around someone she'd actually be attracted to! 

Well, unless her friends have sprung a trap to set her up with a sweetheart dork who's exactly her type.

The Crown

It's the night after her coronation and Queen Glimmer's afraid she'll lose her new circlet in her disaster of a room. Luckily Bow's always been there to take care of the crown.
