Have you ever browsed through an old vintage store and come across a cardboard box brimming with random photos? Opening the box you uncover holiday celebrations, family days out, corners of living rooms and beautiful hilltops... Have you ever looked at these photos and felt connected to the people, or curious as to who they were and how they ended up there?
If you understand these feelings, then this blog is for you.

My name is Jess, and I’m a photographer who is really passionate about finding photos that make you feel - especially, unintentionally. In today's vast sea of digital content, it's a treasure to discover pockets of nostalgia, warmth, and even a strange sense of familiarity. I especially look for this in amateur photography that probably wasn't intended to be seen.
So that’s what I created this blog for - looking at life through photography found and credited on sites like Flickr, Pinterest, and other internet archives.
So, just as some ground rules:
- Photographs will be credited to a source. The internet makes this hard (especially Pinterest), but I will try my best.
- You can reach out and ask me to take any photo down any time, I will happily comply no questions asked. A lot of things on Flickr from ten+ years ago are publicly posted - but that does not mean they were intended to be shared outside of friends and family.
- For the reason above and my own personal opinion on the matter, photos of children will not be shared.
I hope this finds some people who enjoy the project as much as I do, and we get to share somebody's life for a moment.
