BLAINE: Bonjour! It's been way too long. How are you?
BLAINE: Do you happen to have time to hang out sometime soon?
I’m back in Ohio! LA was absolutely amazing, but it’s good to be back home. How’s everyone’s Summer been so far?
Text ✉ Seblaine
BAS: You. The party. Anything really is better to discuss right now than the state of my friendship with Hunter.
BAS: ...Fair enough. I guess it comes down to /who/ I /want/ to be kissing.
BAS: Did you not know that?
BAS: Well, if I can do anything to make sure you have a good time, let me know.
BLAINE: So... you don't want to share more than just an innocent kiss with Brittany?
BLAINE: I've heard it mentioned a few times, but not from either of them. So I'm not sure what exactly their 'rules' are.
BLAINE: Thank you. I will.
BLAINE [unsent]: You not kissing Brittany would help, but I don't exactly have the right to ask for that.
I’m alive
I’m really glad I stayed too. Well Tiger, if you ever decide you do in fact want to make a point with your father, I am here and very, very, willing to help you out with that. Really? I mean I think I’m an okay singer, but not in your league. That seems like something very doable; do you know of a place?
Not yet either. But I’ve been thinking… it’s been a couple of months since we went to that club in Columbus…
Like I said; I don’t think I Ever will. But thank you for the offer. I’ll make sure to keep that in mind. You’re much more than an okay singer, Sebastian - trust me. I don’t, actually, but I don’t think it will be hard to find one.
Is that an invitation?
F2F: Open // Birthday Party
“I did have a good time. Keeps getting better,” Sebastian grinned. He closed his eyes and inhaled sharply when Blaine mentioned trusting him; something in his gut twisting. On the one hand he was happy, glad, Blaine trusted him, but on the other, he wasn’t sure he’d done anything to deserve that trust. “I’ll help you for a bit in the morning,” he nodded, opening his eyes and glad that for now at least, they could just forget about the mess for the night.
Sebastian was a little disappointed when Blaine got up off his lap, but he took the other boys’ hand and got up. He pulled Blaine close, enjoying the feeling of being with someone; being so close as they danced to a slower song. The more time they spent together, the more Sebastian realized that he genuinely liked Blaine. Not that he didn’t like the boy before, but this wasn’t just some guy he wanted to maybe sleep with and move on. Sebastian found himself liking, and strangely enjoying how innocent their relationship was in comparison to others he’d been with. Even if he was far from innocent himself, he felt almost nervous and anxious around Blaine, as things between them continued to grow. And Sebastian had no reason to push things farther than Blaine wanted. Perhaps because he felt like he was just a place holder, hanging onto Blaine until Kurt was ready.
“Fair enough,” Sebastian agreed. “It is really lonely, at home, and I’d feel awfully bad about you being all alone here.” He put a finger under Blaine’s chin and tilted the other boys’ face up to his. “I’m kind of discovering everything with you is much more fun,” he replied honestly. “But I’m not staying tonight because I expect anything more than a dance, and hopefully some kissing.” Since Blaine had mentioned being lonely, Sebastian hoped that meant they’d fall asleep together, but the Anderson house was quite large and it wouldn’t be that far fetched for Blaine to possibly mean for Sebastian to sleep in a guest bedroom. “Am I going to get to know what it’s like to fall asleep and wake up with you?” the words were whispered, ghosting over Blaine’s lips as Sebastian tilted his own head down, moving in for one of those kisses now.
"That’s really sweet, but you really don’t have to. It’s not your mess,” Blaine said with a thankful smile. He noticed the reaction his words seemed to have on Sebastian, and could only hope it wasn’t a negative one. It wasn’t easy for Blaine to say those words to someone, even though it had come out like it was. But he didn’t have much time to think about it, as they soon started to slowly move along to the music together. It felt so good to just be close to Sebastian like this - Blaine wished that it could always be this easy between them.
The more time he spent with Sebastian, the more he started to like him. And that felt amazing and completely terrifying at the same time. They kissed, slow danced, were about to spend the night together... and yet they weren’t a thing. Not really. They almost acted like a couple, but Blaine felt like it was very unlikely that they would ever be one. He knew how Sebastian thought of relationships, which made him hesitant to let the other know how he really felt about him. A few weeks ago, it had even made him feel like they should stop kissing and hanging out like this, which maybe meant not seeing each other at all for a while. It was confusing, and did nothing to stop his feelings from growing stronger. But Blaine knew it would be hard not to see each other, and he wasn’t even sure if it would even help him feel less confused. Just because they hadn’t labeled whatever it was that was going on between them, didn’t mean it was meaningless or wrong, or that it was impossible for it to become more.
“We make a pretty good team, huh? I would definitely be up for that,” Blaine whispred, as he stared into the taller boy’s eyes. Before he was able to answer Sebastian’s question, their lips were already touching, and Blaine decided his answer could wait. He moved his arms up and wrapped them around Sebastian’s neck, as his eyes closed and his lips moved agains the other’s. Yes, he would definitely miss this if they ever stopped doing it. He pulled back from the kiss quite quickly, a small grin on his face. “You are, if you want to. I mean, I could get the guest room ready for you, but there’s plenty of space in my bed and I am very much fine with you sleeping next to me.”
I’m alive
Hey, it was my pleasure. It was a really great party and I hope you had as much of a good time as you seemed to have. Wow… that’s a real stretch. And can I say that would be a real, real shame if it worked. Well, I can’t complain about getting to hear you sing so much during Grease, in fact, I might be missing it a little. I supposed anything is worth a try. Nice car.
Any other plans next weekend?
I sure did. And I’m glad you were able to stay. Oh, trust me, it will never work. The opposite, actually; sometimes I kind of feel like making out with a guy in the middle of the living room when I know he’ll come home, just to make my point clear. But before you suggest anything - no, I’m not actually going to do so. Well, I have to admit that I might missing hearing you sing a little as well. Maybe we could go to some karaoke night or something together sometime?
No, not yet, at least. What about you?

BAS: I agree.
BAS: You're right. But enough about that. I can think of much better things to talk about.
BAS: Hmmm maybe only /your/ innocent kisses easily turn into something more.
BAS: I don't know. But they have and open relationship and she asked.
BAS: I do say so, Tiger.
BLAINE: What kind of things?
BLAINE: I highly doubt that. I mean, you're not exactly someone that only shares innocent kisses, right?
BLAINE: Okay...
BLAINE: I'm just not sure if I should sneak out. I guess I'll just see how the party goes, then decide..
I’m alive
Your mom sounds pretty cool. I sometimes forget that our parents used to be young too, and may have even given secret birthday parties themselves. Maybe that’s why she was so curious.
Even the ride to school gets cooler, trust me. I didn’t know you were working on a car with your dad, though. It sounds like quite a job. We don’t really sell parts, but I’m sure it wouldn’t be a problem to order in some extra stuff if you want to, though. Just send me a text when you know what it is, and I’ll ask my dad. I do help him out sometimes when things get really busy, but I mainly do the basics. I’m not exactly a mechanic.
She is, sometimes. She can be a little embarrassing as well, though. But at least she’s never able to be mad at me for too long. And yes, it probably is. I agree, though. Sometimes it’s kind of strange to realize they’ve done things like that as well, but at the same time it’s sort of... comforting? I don’t even know why, but I guess it’s just a nice thought that even though they might not agree with what you do, they understand why you do it? Does that make sense?
Oh, I don’t doubt that! Yeah, it’s just some kind of... bonding time. Thank you, that would be really amazing! Well, I’m quite impressed that you even know the basics. It’s so much more complicated than I thought it’d be, so seriously - kudos.
F2F: Open // Birthday Party
Sebastian was surprised to find himself with a lap full of Blaine Anderson, but he wasn’t going to complain. Knowing it was probably at least partially because Blaine had been drinking, his arms immediately went around him to help keep the smaller boy steady. “I’d say the birthday boy had a very good night. He seems quite pleased with himself,” he teased. “I told you I’d come back. Were you worried?”
Sebastian watched the last people leave. “You’re lucky this place doesn’t look too trashed,” he said with a look around. “I hope you’re not too tired. You still owe me a dance I think. But I’ll be nice and let it be a slow one.” He leaned his forehead against Blaine’s. “Or do you just want me to carry you to bed?” he whispered softly. Sebastian still wasn’t sure why exactly he was here, why Blaine had asked him to stay, but they could talk about that now. “You still want me to stay right?” He licked at his lips, “I’m going to be honest and say I’m not sure why you do. So a little clarification would help me out.”
Blaine chuckled and nodded in agreement, after hitting Sebastian playfully on the shoulder. “I most certainly did. I hope you had a good time as well?” Sebastian seemed like he was in quite a good mood, but Blaine hadn’t seen him an awful lot that night, so he had no idea if the taller boy had enjoyed himself. “I wasn’t. I knew you’d come back - I trust you, remember?” He followed Sebastian’s look around the room, as the last closed the door behind themselves. “I definitely expected more of a mess with so many people. And luckily, I’ll have plenty of time to clean up before my parents get home tomorrow, so I can worry about that tomorrow.”
When Sebastian leaned his forehead against Blaine’s, the younger boy smiled at him happily, and a small giggle escaped him at Sebastian’s words. “Nah, I’m sure I’ll be able to dance, and I’ll definitely manage to walk. I didn’t drink that much.” Blaine jumped off Sebastian’s lap, almost as soon as he’d sat down, and offered him a hand to help him up. “A slow dance sounds perfect,” he whispered, as he wrapped his arms around the other and started moving along to the music that was still playing in the background (and, lucky for them, it was a slow song). “I do. And I’ll be completely honest with you - I’m not really sure why I do either. But if you went home, you’d be in that house all alone, and I would be here all alone... This is much more fun, right?” Blaine hoped Sebastian wasn’t expecting too much from staying over for the night. He was pretty sure he knew what Sebastian usually did when he stayed over at a boy’s house, and although Blaine really enjoyed kissing Sebastian, he definitely wasn’t ready to do more.

BAS: Good thing I find them as adorable as I do irresistible then.
BAS: Very true. But, still, it means a lot to me.
BAS: I think, I hope, I've done that.
BAS: A birthday kiss. She was surprised that I'd made out with girls before and told me if I ever wanted to... but I mean that's just weird with her dating Kurt. So what's the harm in a birthday kiss right?
BAS: Really?
BAS: You make it seem like I'm going to drag Brittany into a corner and make out with her and force you to watch. It's just a birthday kiss. People deserve birthday kisses, Blaine.
BAS: Only /special/ people get birthday make outs.
BLAINE: That's certainly a good thing ;)
BLAINE: Then all you can do for now is wait for him to come to you, I think. I'm pretty sure he will, eventually.
BLAINE: An innocent kiss can easily turn into something more. I thought we'd figured that out by now.
BLAINE: And does Kurt even know about this?
BLAINE: I guess I can try. I can't promise anything, though.
BLAINE: Hm. Right. If you say so.
Text ✉ Seblaine
BAS: I can't help it that you've used them so much that I automatically see them even through text now can I?
BAS: Thank you. That really means a lot to me that you'd do that.
BAS: The problem is I really don't know. And I've never said that about Hunter before. I've usually felt like I'm the only one that really knows him. But now that I'm not so upset any more I think I see why he is so upset about it.
BAS [UNSENT]: Worst mistake ever.
BAS: I owe her a birthday kiss. And I'm not one to turn down a party.
BAS: Focus on the party and maybe I'll see more of you this time since you're not the host... but I meant more about the 'after' part.
BAS: Can I sneak in? Or sneak you out?
BLAINE: Oops.
BLAINE: No need to thank me. It's not like we can always like the same people, but that doesn't mean we can't try and be civil around the ones the other does like.
BLAINE: Just show him that you understand he's upset, and that you're sorry. That's all you can do for now, I think.
BLAINE: You're going to kiss Brittany?
BLAINE: Right. Yeah, I guess I can try to sneak out..
BLAINE: Not sure if you're gonna see a lot of me at the party, though. I'm not exactly planning on standing next to you while you're kissing Brittany.

BRITT: Thanks, cutie. :)
BRITT: And that's a super cute wish, Blaine. But are you sure there's nothing else you want?
BLAINE: Well, a slushie free McKinley, maybe? Or for the school to do another musical. I wouldn't say no to the Glee Club winning Nationals either.
BLAINE: ... see, now I'm getting greedy. You having a perfect birthday is enough :)

BRITT: Ok, so everybody sends out messages saying ‘good luck’ and stuff at New Years, but New Years Eve totally sucks. I mean, everybody’s year starts at a different time, right?
BRITT: So right now, it’s the start of my New Year and I figured I’d hit you all up to grant you one free Brittany S. Pierce Certified wish. Destined to come true via the power of birthdays. Totes welcome.
BLAINE: Happy birthday Brittany! :D
BLAINE: I really like your way of defining New Year.
BLAINE: I'm pretty content right now, so I wish... for you to have the best birthday ever.

BAS: Don't give me those puppy dog eyes Anderson... I can't say no to them.
BAS: I'm a man of my word, Tiger.
BAS: I understand why you'd feel that way. It would mean a lot to me if the two of you at least could be civil, but then again that depends on Hunter even wanting me to be a part of his life any more.
BAS: Anyhow...better topics. Brittany's party- are you going? Is there any possible way I can get a repeat of the last party night?
BLAINE: You can't even resist them through a text? I'm definitely going to keep that in mind... >:)
BLAINE: Oh, I can definitely be civil. It's not like I'm suddenly going to be rude to him or something, don't worry.
BLAINE: [unsent] The main problem here is /him/ not being civil.
BLAINE: I understand that he's upset because of what happened, but... it's a slushie. I won't say /just/ a slushie, because of obvious reasons, but still - do you really think he'd never want to be friends anymore, because of a slushie? I think you two will be alright, eventually.
BLAINE: Yes, I am! So you are as well?
BLAINE: Define party night? Should I focus more on 'party' or on 'night'?
F2F: Open // Birthday Party
After a couple of girls Sebastian had recognized from the Drama club had dragged Blaine away he hadn’t seen the birthday boy before it was time to take Marley home. When he returned, the party was almost still as loud and crowded as before. Sebastian tried looking for Blaine again, but eventually he gave up and just socialized with random people, making sure people had a way home, suggesting other parties he’d heard of, and attempting to clean up some of the mess of the party. Anything really to get everyone out the door.
There had been this undercurrent of something simmering between them earlier in the night, even more so than the night at the club in Columbus, and Sebastian was perhaps a little eager to explore that more. Things had changed since Columbus, although mostly for the better in the taller boys’ eyes, but he still had no idea what he was doing, or what they were doing together. At some point Sebastian ended up near the piano and he sat down on the bench, his fingers itching to move over the keys but he didn’t dare in case it drew attention to himself, the fact that he wasn’t leaving, or encouraged others to stay around longer. Instead he rested an arm against the side, and his head against his arm, closing his eyes and listening to the sounds of a party winding up; listening for the voice of the host.
Sebastian opened his eyes when he heard Blaine’s laugh and twisted his head around to spot the other boy. A large grin broke out across his face, and for a second time that night Sebastian wanted to usher everyone out the door. He stayed silent, and where he was though, letting Blaine come to him.
As it got later, everyone got a little wilder, and there were quite a few people that had had a few drinks too many. So whenever Blaine wasn’t talking to someone, he ran around to clean up a broken bottle, get someone to the toilet in time to prevent them from throwing up in the middle of the living room, and subtly offering people some water. Every now and then, he looked around to see if Sebastian was somewhere near him, but he never saw him. Blaine figured he was probably taking Marley home, as he didn’t see her around anymore either. The thought made Blaine smile - Sebastian did not show this kind and caring, almost protective, side very often, which made it feel extra special whenever Blaine got to see it.
He still had no clue what exactly was going on between the two of them, but he knew that it was special, and new to both of them. It felt amazing and terribly confusing at the same time, but Blaine decided not to think about it too much tonight, and to just enjoy it instead. After saying goodbye to a few Glee club members, he looked around again, and his smile widened when he finally spotted the taller boy. Immediately, he walked over towards him and sat down on his lap. It was quite a bold move for him, which was probably caused by a combination of the alcohol and just the fact that he was having a great night - he’d already done it before he could stop and think about it. “And finally, we meet again,” Blaine chuckled, as he watched the last few people gather their things. “Seems like everyone’s finally going home. Which is a good thing, because I’m kind of tired.
I’m alive
Oh God… That really sucks. That’s really not the aftermath your party should have had, but I hope this doesn’t change your mind about it being worth it, because I thought it was great.
Ooooh, your own car. That’s always an exciting moment. That thing is going to become your baby for the first couple of weeks, mark my words. And hey, if you ever need some help with that other car, you know where to find me. I happen to know some things about them, which is part of how I earned mine.
Oh, no, it was definitely worth it. And I think my mom was mostly just pretending to be mad because that’s what a parent is supposed to do, because she started asking me all kinds of questions about it afterwards. And they were not the interrogation - she seemed genuinely interested. But anyways - I’m glad to hear you had a good time.
It is! Oh God, yes, I can totally imagine. It’s going to be so amazing to finally be able to go everywhere by myself, whenever I want. Thanks, Kurt - I’ll make sure to keep that in mind. Does your dad also sell parts? ‘Cause I need a... well, something. I can’t remember what it’s called. Do you still help him out sometimes?
