I have began to really lose my interest in Tumblr. I constantly keep seeing so much hate posts and I honestly feel like this ruins the whole thing. The joy of posting is not there anymore due to this reason. I have seen some really fucked up posts like encouraging mental illnesses and selfharm. Encourage these kind of stuff won't help anybody but instead make it worse for them. There are even romanticized posts about suicide and there could actually be people out there that are on the verge of suicide and this could push them of the edge. Why even encourage this? I do for real believe that these people are actually out of their minds. (Sorry not sorry) And something that really threw me off yesterday was a post about someone wanting to make a LGBT gang to knifefight homophobes or transphobes I think? I'm not a big fan of these people myself as I both support LGBT and am a part of it myself but what the actual FUCK! ENCOURAGING VIOLENCE!? That's not gonna solve anything! If you want more people to be on LGBT's side then violence is not the answer... That's only gonna result with a bad reputation and possibly having more people disliking LGBT because you just gave them a reason to. The best thing to do about homophobes and transphobes is to leave them alone as I'm pretty sure they are not majority. (At least most people I have met have had very much respect) So they have no power over you. You could though try to talk to them and maybe change their mind or hope they realize that it's nothing wrong with being part of LGBT. Like.. try anything but NOT violence. But there have even been cases of wanting to attack cis and white people too which I think is just pointless since it won't lead to peace but more fights...
I could say more but I don't want this post to be too long. I just wanted to express though what bothers me about Tumblr but I do hope at some point that there will be less hate and more people being acceptable towards each other and that we can get along as well.
