Selenite does not handle it at all. Full blown panic attacks to the point of losing consciousness. Whoops,,,

Malachite just spends all their loops with Gabbro close by, talking about the meaning of life or some

Humite blames them for everything, because of course they do

Zea, being a Nomai, asks Gabbro some questions (or at least attempts to) and blasts off to find the eye

Rauru, being an Inhabitant kinda panics, but eventually finishes what Prisoner started thanks to Gabbro's... existentialism.

i know you have them related(?) to other hatchlings, can you explain that?

also if they lived in a modern au, would they be a pc gamer or a console gamer? :D

Cinnabar is biologically related to Beryl (@eclipsefoxart's hatchling). They're both Gossan and Hornfels' hatchlings who were a real menace growing up. Beryl was a biter while Cinnabar headbutted everything like a baby goat. That scar on their forehead? Headbutted the wrong thing as a hatchling, but tells the younger ones that it was an accident. I mean, they're not wrong tho???

Cinnabar is also related to my other hatchling, Gravel. Now, the way it works is kinda complicated. The short answer is quantum shenanigans. The long answer is: Gravel and Cinnabar are essentially the same hatchling that gets stuck in a time loop, but they both belong to different timelines. While Cinnabar trains for their durability exam, Gravel is recovering after the accident. They both meet inside Ash Twin Project when Cinnabar forgot to close the panel that covers the advanced warp core just as the loop reset. They luckily didn't break the fabric of reality, but they were now aware of the existence of "another them". How does the ending work then? Only Cinnabar becomes a conscious observer of The Eye, because Gravel is stuck at The Simulation. In my "Second Chance" post-nova AU, all alternative timelines merge into one, and Cinnabar can meet Gravel without the consequence of reality breaking at the seams.

Speaking of modern AU, I can totally see them as a console gamer. Just a fish winding down after a particularly hard day, booting up their favourite game and getting comfy on the sofa... livin the dream...
