anon, i'm not posting that whole lot of transphobic nonsense you vomited all over my inbox because, quite simply, you don't deserve it. here's one sentence that gives away how fucking bigoted you and everyone with the same two shitty arguments are, though:
like all transandrobros, it's not just that you don't believe you benefit from transmisogyny, it's that you literally believe trans women have male privilege! later on that same ask you say you are a victim of medical malpractice and you believe trans women aren't because they weren't afab! like let's maybe calm down a little, JKR.
however, i'll bite, since it's a much easier question than you believe it to be: how are you more privileged than every trans woman (all else being equal, meaning race, abled status, socioeconomic class, etc)? well, you'd not be sent to a male prison if the cops and a judge felt like it, for once. you're demonstrably less likely than trans women -including those who can't medically transition- of having to resort to sex work. you're able to access a women's shelter if you were to suffer domestic violence or became homeless. you're less likely to get kicked out of every support network when you come out. you're less likely to be accused of pedophilia and sexual abuse for just existing. you're less likely to be murdered. i mean, shall i continue?
To add to this: we can't let chuds like that reduce this down to individual people like they keep doing. That is a classic MRA tactic; they always point to some woman CEO and say "how am I, Joe Everyman who makes 50k/year, more privileged than her?!?!"
He is literally doing that in that screenshotted section, pointing to hypothetical trans women who aren't in the same socioeconomic demographic as him, and thus have access to resources he doesnt. If we looked at the trans women in his socioeconomic class we'd see them fairing worse and facing more discrimination on average.
This isn't about individual people. Is there a trans woman out there who makes more money than him, who has access to resources and support networks that he doesnt? Obviously. But this is an issue of systemic oppression. We are taking about averages. What resources and opportunities the average trans woman and trans man have at their disposal. What different obstacles, bigotry, and systemic forms of oppression are faced by the average trans woman and trans man.
And there is actual scientific data to back this all up. Literally the same exact data that backs up systemic misogyny: the wage gap.
We absolutely cannot let them dismiss this. That is literally the same thing that cis MRAs do with the wage gap between cis men and cis women. This is literally the exact same thing!
It's also worth noting that he is claiming that it is a privilege for trans women to be misgendered...
you people are so fucking insufferable
For the record the facepalm in the tags is aimed at anon, because anon is objectively wrong and I am agreeing with OP.
If I'm insufferable because I think that the trans community shouldn't be fighting amongst each other because they have a much more powerful greater enemy, one that benefits from the infighting, then so be it.
you are insufferable for telling the OP that he is causing and/or contributing to infighting within the "community" while he lays out why their rhetoric is dogshit indistinguishable from cis MRAs. you do this and then call call all trans people faggots, of whom the only people who are actually seen this way or ever, ever called this by anyone are trans women. you are, unintentionally or not, calling trans women faggots and implying they should not engage with intersectionality. the fact that you agree with OP makes all of this make no fucking sense.
"so be it" fuck off
"telling the OP that he is causing and/or contributing to infighting”
Not what I said. I'm a big proponent of intersectionality and support people educating others on it. I'm saddened by the idea that there are people like anon who would rather be angry at trans women for their perceived privileges over trans men rather than being angry at the people who are actively oppressing them. What anon is doing is incendiary and unhelpful, OP is just disproving their wrong beliefs. That's why I support both OP and the person who responded in my reblog.
This interaction however...what are you hoping to gain here? I don't think it serves anyone to screenshot someone's tags and reblog just to call them insufferable so unless you're hoping to have a genuine discussion I suggest you just block me.
Trans woman here, if you said what you said to me IRL I'd break your fucking jaw
