Whats your version of china like?

I need to work on him cause I’m not totally knowledgeable on Chinese history but I DO have some headcannons for him!

he has the longest hair of any of the countries. Usually he’ll put it up in a braid or a bun, but when it’s out it drags behind him.

He was a businessman up until the late 80’s, until he realised that it sucks and he’s miserable. So now he’s committed himself to learning or re-learning traditional arts and calligraphy. And he’s insanely good at it too.

Russia sees China as a sort of mentor/father/cool person he wants to impress figure. China sees Russia as a kid who won’t leave him alone.

he has a pet pug that he vaguely tolerates. He did not consent to obtaining the pug. Fun fact pugs actually originate from China

He’s still subconsciously fearful of Japan. He knows that modern Japan is different (or tries to be) different from her mother, but there’s still a bit of anxiety in the back of his head about it.

Very intolerant of Americas bullshit.

him and Australia also occasionally have arguments but those are more like two 10 year olds arguing over a toy.

Have you got any Mexico headcanons? i would love to hear them

I don’t have full Lore on Mexico yet but I’ve got a handful of headcannons!

She’s an artist by trade. A lot of her artworks been put in museums and permanent galleries, and even has travelling exhibitions!

On top of that, she’s also a graffiti artist. But nobody knows it’s her that does it. She’s completely anonymous and she’s stayed that way since the 80’s. Locals call her “El salpicadura” (yes that’s masculine on purpose.)

she has constant beef with America. Every day there’s a new argument topic. Every day they yell at each other at the border. Mexico hits him over the head with whatever footwear she has. More often than not it’s a stiletto.

she is physically strong. That is a buff woman. Healthy buff- not body building buff. She can and will bench press you. You do not get a choice.

SO 👏 Same as the last few, America is a kidnapping victim like the rest of the British colonies. He was the first one that Britain chose to live with him, after he spent about four years in the country orphanage. Since he was the first child, he was sort of the Guinea pig for Britain to figure out how to raise a kid. He’s sorta why Britain figured out that you can just lock kids in the basement until they stop crying.

Now for a while- America was the favourite. Even after Canada showed up. Britain was dead convinced that America would grow up to be a loyal ally. Y’know- even after making this poor kid cry for the seventh time today. I can’t stress how much of a horrible father Britain was- I need you all to know that a rabid dog would’ve been better.

anyways- Fast forward to revolution times. He’s now like around 16 (in country years). For the super early stages of the war, America was still heavily under Britains control/influence. So much so that he didn’t even know about it happening until he saw a bunch of rebels chatting in town when he was off doing a market run. He didn’t know why anyone would want to rebel, but it only took him one conversation with a rebel captain to realise and go “yeah..he DOES suck doesn’t he??!!” of course, after bringing this up with Brit, arguments broke out with absolutely everyone. And that argument was the final straw for France. She went through Yee olde divorce process with Britain at the same time as the revolution.

America very rarely stayed at Britains house during that time. Usually he was staying in rebel camps or with France. Sometimes Britain would snag him up and make him stay, but the jokes on him, America learned how to scale walls and escape.

he would ALSO sometimes visit without Britain knowing to check on Can, Aus and NZ. I imagine he was a little more considerate back then and actually took the part of an eldest brother.

Now do forgive me if my histories a little off, I didn’t grow up in the states so all my US history knowledge comes from bits I’ve picked up.

Your interpretation of America? I need ideas

this isn’t his full backstory this is just random headcannons I have He’s an astrophysicist! He’s worked for NASA since the mid 50’s.

He’s literally only smart about space and engineering. Nothing else. Maybe a little bit of Hollywood trivia but that’s it.

Americas…well meaning..but he’s a lot. Loud, obnoxious, bit of a mansplainer. People usually need a day or two to recover after interacting with him.

he has ONE (1) tattoo, and it’s a stick’n’poke peace sign that he got in the sixties when he was in a hippie group. He didn’t stay in there for long

much like the rest of the unfortunate cases of the British colonies, Canada was taken from his original family when he was around 7 years old. On the boat back to Europe, he received two horrible injuries that damaged him for the rest of his life. 1 was a damaging head injury from falling down the boat stairs during a sea storm. This incident was enough to knock him out for the rest of the ride home. And when he did wake up, his personality had completely changed. From a normal, chipper kid, to very monotone and emotionally distant. 2 was another time he fell down. This time, right onto a jagged rusty nail, getting him right in the left eye. That’s the eye that was hidden under an eyepatch (the shield of his flag) when he was younger.

when living with Britain for the first few years, he absolutely refused to speak any English at all. BUT, he did learn to speak French from France. France was the favoured parent, since she was more patient with him and America. Still wasn’t parent of the year but it was sort of a case of House on fire vs mouldy sandwich. Remember that head injury I mentioned before? Well the emotional distance came in handy during the First World War. That’s why he performed so many heinous attacks. He had absolutely no mercy in his body. In modern times, between him and America, Canada is more in touch with his native culture. That’s why he keeps his hair long. (Much to Britains disgust)

Also yes he smokes weed he says it was prescribed by his therapist. (He does not have a therapist)

Yk how in the old days of the fandom ppl drew Countries with white eyes for some reason? I’ve managed to incorporate that into my head cannon!

When a country gets extremely angry or upset, their eyes turn completely bright white. This also means they go temporarily blind! Meaning that if you’re in their way, they can’t tell you apart from what they’re trying to kill. Unless you tell them but they probably won’t listen.

Now my question is how their eyes turn. Would their pupils roll into the back of their heads like sharks, or do they blink away like magic
