They don't have a magic W! I can't remember how I got him, I just know one day I realized he doesnt have a magic W. I remember getting into an hour long bus stop argument with my friend at the time about it. They didnt think it was a Webkinz because it didnt have the W and I was lying. I love errorkinz, and Hooterz is why.

Some very minor updates about Caution Tape's repairs under the cut but LOOOOK LOOK LOOK WHAT I FOUND FOR HIM

I THOUGHT I THREW THIS AWAY. IT MATCHES HIM.

Anyways...

So some tiny progress on Caution Tape has been made. Debated the entire day (for some reason) whether or not to use this spare toothbrush to scrub the corrosion from his contacts a bit more. I've gotten most of it, but not all of it. Contacts are clean of the battery acid but they still look rusted. Despite that I thought I cleaned it enough to try and put batteries in him and... nothing. Oh yeah, I tried to shove a bunch of gum wrapper where his spring used to be thinking that would be enough to suffice but no. Saw someone say tin foil worked or just a spring from a ballpoint with some stretching so I can try that. Ideally would want to sauder the spring on him, but I have no access to a saudering gun. But before any of that I saw a few methods I could try that I want to look into tomorrow.

TL;DR: Couldn't get him to turn on. His contacts might be cooked for good but I don't want to give up just yet.

I guess the plan for Caution Tape (a name I just now came up with actually) is cleaning his battery contacts since they look pretty corroded. I think I can get away with having him on if nobody is home, if he works that is. If that doesn't work i might have to rip into his insides like a vet doing surgery on its own pet. Either way I want to clean his fur.

This is waaay worse than I thought holy fuck. The spring got so rusted that it snapped off when I tried to clean the contact. No progress after an hour. This battery acid is caked on. Pretty sure all the brown stuff is the rust. He could be water-damaged. Wondering if there's anyway to replace his contacts but that might require an entire teardown of his robotic parts.

Why did Dash Tag get shelved so fast, anyway? Was it because Ryan's World was an IP they could use and just decided to reskin it based on that??? It's weird because they made all their jambassadors at the time advertize for Dash Tag and it was gone in like, a few months.
