BOOK REVIEW - A Street Cat Named Bob.
James Bowen is a recovering drug addict living in sheltered accommodation in London. One day he finds a stray cat outside his flat, the cat was injured and James nursed him back to health.
that's the outline of the story, however there is more to it than that. Bob and James have a very close understanding relationship. Almost as if Bob was a person. This is a great true-life story about a man and his cat and a perfect quick read. Overall I really enjoyed the book, however i found myself skimming over a few bits. Its being a true-life story James Bowen talks a lot about what he was doing on a day to day basis, which i found quite repetitive and boring. However that is expected as nothing exciting happens everyday in real life.
The Book is quite short so ideal as a quick read, or to those that don't like large reads. Although its not the sort of book that I'm likely to re-read if James Bowen was to write another book such as an update on his and bob's life i would definitely read it.
