Mini rant: you know what gets on my nerves? We in the regression community try so hard to educate people outside of the community, and we really don’t like it when people judge us or make assumptions, right? “It’s a k!nk, you can only regress with a therapist, it’s just agepl@y for minors, it’s gross,” *insert incorrect information here,* etc. We want people to learn and understand about what it really is.

However, there are people in the agere community who act the exact same way towards other communities. “CG|_ is pedophilia, agepl@y is always sexual, CG|_ / @BDL / agepl@y are all the same thing, it’s gross,” *insert incorrect information here,* etc. Don’t you think that makes those communities feel the same way the agere community does when people bombard us with false statements?

You don’t have to like what these communities do or agree with it, and I’m not saying go out and research it if it makes you uncomfortable. However, don’t be just like the people we try to educate. They usually don’t want to listen. It’s okay to make mistakes, but don’t purposely spread rude/false information. If someone tries to tell you about why what you’re saying is wrong, listen to them. If you can’t do that and/or don’t want to take the time to learn more about it, it’s best to not say anything at all on the subject.

Having trouble regressing?

Get dressed in a comfy outfit that fits your headspace age. If you’re a baby, wear a onesie or a baggy T-shirt. If you’re a toddler, wear a cute cartoony T-shirt and leggings. If you’re a kiddo, wear overalls and a pretty shirt.

Get a snack ready. Some ideas: apple juice, popsicles, PB & Js, teddy grahams, milk, goldfish, or grape juice.

Turn on the TV. Play a cute movie, or an episode of a kiddie TV show (like Paw Patrol, My Little Pony, Doc McStuffins, Pocoyo, etc).

Get your favorite blankie and stuffie. Sit on the couch and cuddle up with them.
