A quick update on Teddy for those who care: Her surgery was a success! She’s back at home now, but I think she’s in more pain than with her previous surgery; unlike the first time, she’s softly whimpering now, which is something she only does if something hurts a lot. At first we weren’t completely sure if the surgery would be necessary for this paw since she did nothing to indicate that she was hurting, but after they were done the surgeons assured us that this surgery was really necessary because her knee was much worse than we all thought. So luckily things are solved now, although the upcoming few weeks are going to be tough for her.
I really appreciate all of your concern, so thank you!
If the procedure required anesthesia then the whimpering is absolutely normal! Most pets have an about 24-hour period of dysphoria after anesthetic procedures. Nothing to worry about~
