Old promo art from the Lockdown Throwdown: Round 2 6v6 TF2 tourney back in September 2020 that was organized by PhoenixRed, an EU-based esports org involved in TF2, and hosted by KritzKast.

The request was for mercs in a boxing ring, with Fried Chicken Tramp basically being one of those people who walk around holding a ROUND 2 sign. (Also tried more stylized paintover & rimlights for this piece back then)

babe wake up uberchain finally launched an art account for art only after 8 years

Soft-launching @ooberchain​ as a gallery for my 3D & 2D art or visual media. This will include renders, commissions, animations, etc—all tagged for navigation ease!

Part of making a new Tumblr instead of resuming posting this one is knowing that this Tumblr primarily has a TF2 audience (which hasn’t stopped me before tbh) but another part of it is keeping art and non-art separate, especially since Twitter killed off Moments and I stopped using deviantArt

I'll be re-uploading old art slowly over there that hasn’t been posted here which is a lot of VAL art from 2021 until now, but if I tweet new art or media on Twitter, I'll try cross-posting to the ooberchain Tumblr at the same time so people can find it there (without Twitter compression!!! God bless!!!)

Bad Reception (also known as PROJECT: Fuck It I Need To Submit Something to the Goddamn Saxxy Awards In Time #7) was one of several last-minute ideas I came up with when I realized I wouldn’t be able to get my original Saxxy done. It was meant to be a short but quickly exceeded that time limit. This is the audio reel I was working on before setting up any animation. I was smushing voice lines together, so while I had a basic idea of the beginning, incident, and resolution, I wasn’t sure (still am not sure) how to put together the plot’s body. 

While I’ve got a week I could use to try and throw this last-minute idea into a saving grace, I’ve got no desire to make this happen in-time for that deadline for reasons I’ve already stated in the past that I hope people can respect for now. With that being said, I do like where Bad Reception was going, and I will try to make the rest of it come to life one day as an SFM animation.
