@glittersometimes. tristan psc.
‘ Is that– is that really as quick as you can walk? ’ He’s being a little rude, though it hardly occurs to him. Tristan, you see, is thinking of Wall. Not this poor woman– star– with her injured leg, but Victoria. It’s quite terrible of him, really. Given some time, he may even realise it himself.
“Actually, it is.” You try taking a tumble that far and not come out with a limp. So between the sudden hitch in her walk, the way he’s been going on ( and on, and on, and on! ) about this Victoria person, she’s seriously considering giving this silver chain around her hands a proper tug and settling on the spot in protest.
“I’m not exactly used to being up this late either, I hope you realise.”
A warm up from today, but I still feel pretty rusty
A YEAR LATER i’m back to dust off this blog and it’s basically tess’ fault. hi people still following me i’m going to be rebooting the star babe. she’s going to be super low activity, but i’m looking forward to bringing her back. ❤️
He stared up at the stars: and it seemed to him then that they were dancers, stately and graceful, performing a dance almost infinite in its complexity. He imagined he could see the very faces of the stars; pale, they were, and smiling gently, as if they had spent so much time above the world, watching the scrambling and the joy and the pain of the people below them, that they could not help being amused every time another little human believed itself the center of its world, as each of us does

You’re the star… you’re the star! Really?

You know when I said I knew little about love? That wasn’t true. I know a lot about love. I’ve seen it, centuries and centuries of it, and it was the only thing that made watching your world bearable. All those wars. Pain, lies, hate… It made me want to turn away and never look down again. But when I see the way that mankind loves… You could search to the furthest reaches of the universe and never find anything more beautiful.
thescorcher:
“Are you okay?” The kind of obnoxious question one would ask just to be polite — or rather to tease in Sirius case. He smirks and merely watches the struggle for a moment. Then he helps; picking the slender girl up and righting her, even brushing some nonexistent dust off her shoulders for good measure.
“Gravity is a necessary evil, or as some people would say; a bitch. So better be more careful next time.”
“yes. no. sort - of.” she was a bevy you usefulness, wasn’t she? she gives it one more valiant attempt ( at least she thinks it's fairly valiant ), before going along with his offered arm. even at her full height she’s slight ----- and still rather wobbly.
his warning gets a snort. “yes, well.” gravity certainly wasn’t all that impressive. seemed a bit excessive even. if it was supposed to be so useful, why was it so difficult? “hopefully i’m not dealing with it for much longer.”

Pain, lies, hate… It made me want to turn away and never look down again. But when I see the way that mankind loves… You could search to the furthest reaches of the universe and never find anything more beautiful. So yes, I know that love is unconditional. But I also know that it can be unpredictable, unexpected, uncontrollable, unbearable and strangely easy to mistake for loathing, and… What I’m trying to say, Tristan is… I think I love you. Is this love, Tristan? I never imagined I’d know it for myself. My heart… It feels like my chest can barely contain it. Like it’s trying to escape because it doesn’t belong to me any more. It belongs to you. And if you wanted it, I’d wish for nothing in exchange - no gifts. No goods. No demonstrations of devotion. Nothing but knowing you loved me too. Just your heart, in exchange for mine.

@glittersometimes gets a thing
little bird did bounce upon the heels of her feet, hands fidgeting and looking most abnormal. as if she were physically having to restrain herself. at last, whatever hold she had upon that thing she tried to subdue vanished. ❛ what’s it like UP THERE? ❜ the words did tumble out in a rush. her cheeks tinged rose in embarrassment. ❛ i mean, if it isn’t rude to ask ——could you tell me a little about the sky? please? ❜
“up there?” she finds herself laughing a bit at the girl’s enthusiasm. it’s appreciated, even if the questions are followed quickly by an apology. the star shook her head in reassurance as she glanced upwards. “no, it isn’t rude. i don’t mind. no one asks me about the sky much anymore.” a sad realization; even after all her time down here, there was still a large part of her that missed the sky ----- and her sisters ----- dearly. “well. the sky is vast. and dark. sometimes it can be lonely. but it’s beautiful. it’s just.. a shame it’s so far away.”
mark-strongs:
An ounce of bargaining, a pinch of trickery, a soupcon of intimidation, et voila! The perfect recipe for a towering reputation without ever having to spill one drop of blood. Ever try to get blood stains out of a silk shirt? Nightmare. — Stardust (2007) dir. Matthew Vaughn
timeracing:
❛ One what? ❜ Remarkable, how after nine hundred years of time and space he can remain so wholly clueless at times. Or perhaps the remarkable thing was that the universe could still surprise him, that his vast knowledge could not encompass all that existed, even now. Besides, whatever grace he had once had with people had been sacrificed upon an altar of war and survival.
“it’s alright if you don’t want to say it out loud.” it’s certainly not something she likes to readily admit, especially around unknown company. past experiences have made her even warier when it comes to saying these sorts of things. but he seems trustworthy enough. there’s something in his eyes nothing short of familiar. “i won’t tell anyone that you’re from up there as well.”
