Happy pride month you're a woman now
What..? Haha... It's August now. Am I a man again?
Mariussy
Congratulations? Or-ah-confusances?
I reblogged this last month, tagged it, and said “might as well see if it works.” I used this video as a reference to find all the forms that i needed (which is A LOT, especially if you’re a dependent) and sent them through the mail, not really allowing myself to hope.
dude.
$2,714 of medical debt from my top surgery - gone. im shaking this was such a weight on me for 2 years and it fucking worked. what the fuck.
This is huge. Sharing for my US friendos.
Hospitals like to hide these policies under a lot of successive links in obscure places, so if you don't see anything right away, keep looking! Get friends to help! Make it a scavenger hunt. A game where you're assassins sent to slit capitalism's throat
““Let us free Ireland,” says the patriot who won’t touch Socialism. Let us all join together and crush the brutal Saxon. Let us all join together, says he, all classes and creeds. And, says the town worker, after we have crushed the Saxon and freed Ireland, what will we do? Oh, then you can go back to your slums, same as before. Whoop it up for liberty! And, says the agricultural workers, after we have freed Ireland, what then? Oh, then you can go scraping around for the landlord’s rent or the money-lenders’ interest same as before. Whoop it up for liberty! After Ireland is free, says the patriot who won’t touch socialism, we will protect all classes, and if you won’t pay your rent you will be evicted same as now. But the evicting party, under command of the sheriff, will wear green uniforms and the Harp without the Crown, and the warrant turning you out on the roadside will be stamped with the arms of the Irish Republic. Now, isn’t that worth fighting for? And when you cannot find employment, and, giving up the struggle of life in despair, enter the poorhouse, the band of the nearest regiment of the Irish army will escort you to the poorhouse door to the tune of St. Patrick’s Day. Oh! It will be nice to live in those days! “With the Green Flag floating o’er us” and an ever-increasing army of unemployed workers walking about under the Green Flag, wishing they had something to eat. Same as now! Whoop it up for liberty!”
— James Connolly, Let Us Free Ireland! (1899)
“If you remove the English army to-morrow and hoist the green flag over Dublin Castle, unless you set about the organisation of the Socialist Republic your efforts would be in vain. England would still rule you. She would rule you through her capitalists, through her landlords, through her financiers, through the whole array of commercial and individualist institutions she has planted in this country and watered with the tears of our mothers and the blood of our martyrs.”
— James Connolly, Socialism and Nationalism (1897)
Thinking about a new bit where i start using “workers of the world” as my go-to second person plural pronoun. Like “chat”.
Workers of the world what do we think of this. Is it funny.
Workers of the world please like and reblog my post
RIP Shelvy Daffron, murdered by strike breakers on this day in 1934.
A small compilation of edits I like to make of my friend group! Figured I'd post em on here since no one communicates any other way anymore 🙄 I used our Tumblr pfps btw
(also I'd like to say @grantairesuggestionss requested that last one)
I AM out of eggs, what?????
Why does the fandom show Feuilly as like the sensible boring hardworking friend like fam. Everybody else had guns and stuff and he was marching around with a sword yelling about Poland He’s not the responsible one
@knotanowl
Armed just with a chef's knife, I still find Poland...
reblogs were off
Feeling prideful today. Might kiss my boyfriend. 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Eew, that's gay 🌈
Soon.
I don't know why, I woke up this morning with a sudden urge to take to the streets and overthrow the government?
I think its contagious
My workplace recently had a thing about ‘do you know how many days we lose to stress related sick days? Here are some ways to manage stress’ and it’s things like ‘keep a gratitude journal’
But I don’t know - when I started work, many decades ago, it was expected you’d start at 9, finish at 5. You’d get your lunch break. You are expected to give about 70% of yourself the majority of your time. The last hour of each day and Friday afternoon were quiet times. There was time in the day to hang out with your coworkers for ten minutes talking about anything, not just work.
Now you’re expected to come in early and leave late and work through lunch. Give 100% all the time, more if you can push it. Don’t take leave. Work every second of every day as hard as you can push yourself. Do not waste time in the kitchen just chatting. Why aren’t you working harder?
And perhaps we’re burning out and take massive amounts of stress leave not because we’re not keeping a gratitude journal but because we are all being pushed to breaking point consistently, day after day, until we snap.
The older days weren’t perfect. But there was an understanding that work wasn’t life, and we could relax a little at work and still get paid enough to live. Now we are expected to give everything we’ve got, then give more, and not get paid enough to do something as simple as get a coffee after work. Even our hobbies are supposed to be monetised.
I blame Reagan and Thatcher but also blame every business leader since then who thought that pattern of work was in any way sustainable.
@bazwontpassthebar doesn't love me in tamagochi life anymore :-(
Is this why you texted me something along the lines of "do you think I'm annoying" thirty times
...that might have something to do with it...
(as staying up all night playing tamago might have...)

union busters sending me letters telling me to leave my union I'll tear this letter up and shove it into my mouth one piece at a time in front of them
