None of yall are the fic police. I DESPISE genai. I think its an insult to art, humanity, and the planet itself. But aint not a single fucking person here qualified to pick apart a strangers fic looking for a gotcha moment to make yourselves feel superior. If you think something is ai you can ask the author (most are proud of the ai use and will just tell you straight up) if they say yes you have your answer and can warn people. If they say no and you dont believe them you block and quietly keep it between you and maybe a close group of friends. Spreading misinformation is DANGEROUS. And NONE of you doing this shit are anywhere near qualified to do it.

Not only that, but AI is trained on real people's work, so whatever you might think is the AI norm is actually the norm for a lot of people, maybe in a sector that isn't your own or with a type of work you are not familiar with.

This part! AI is a relatively new technology! I don't want it taking over my life but its getting pushed out to ppl like me anyways! And if ppl can share charity organization links (or things like that one chrome extension from that one charity that plants a tree with every tab opened, i forgot the name bc its been a while, sorry) to help the environment for everytime someone says that ai is bad for the environment- that would be nicer! bc. Tf am i supposed to do after reading an "its bad for the environment" comment if ai is seemingly everywhere in life these days, and there's no environment-helping charity organization for me to look at and support instead?

I just KNOW that once I get a new phone (my current one is like 5 years old fyi👵), ai will be shoved down my throat and I'll have no choice but to make attempts at brute-forcing as much of the ai stuff out of the new phone as I can, but also get blamed for having the "threatening trendy technology thing" on the new phone, and I'll end up wondering how long it'll take before someone decides to step the fuck up and share a charity organization link to help w/the environment and help say no to whatever ai-supporting laws pop up!

Waaaay back in freshman year of highschool, i talked to cleverbot and had fun singing the pokemon theme and dramatically reciting the team rocket speech with the chatbot bc i was a kid who liked fun :P As it turns out, I was unintentionally prepped, primed, and ready to accept the ai stuff in some way loooong before those ai accusing ppl started with their witch hunts! (btw there was one chatbot that was therapy-like that came before cleverbot and i think i saw like 2 more somewhere along the way... But cleverbot was the most friend-shaped to highschool me, so i don't remember much from those other chatbots) This is the perspective im coming from!

I think reading stuff like Bladerunner, playing Detroit: Become Human, and looking at the Cyberpunk 2077 lore can help give ppl some perspective when it comes to ai stuff and technology in general! Also, if we end up in a cyberpunk future, and i get a chance to live in a tree in a mountain peppered with pretty forests, who's going to judge when i drag my ai robot boyfriend/girlfriend/romantic partner with me? Nobody except the ppl who say ai is bad but also do next to nothing about helping the environment or helping ppl to resources for. you know. Actually doing some writing and art stuff themselves instead of making an ai generate it!!
