Toby hates physical contact, especially from people he doesn't know. If Toby senses you trying to touch or get close to him, he'll immediately move away.

Knowing this, Jack usually only touches Toby when he's comfortable with it. He asks Toby if he can touch him or be close, and Toby mostly lets him. When Toby doesn't want to, Jack just stays by his side, keeping him company and listening to him. After a while, Toby lets Jack get closer and touch him. When he does let him, the two hold hands or hug when they're on missions or around other people.

When they're alone, Toby lets Jack do whatever he wants with him. Jack just hugs him and gives him little kisses, and occasionally bites, but mostly he just cuddles with Toby. Jack likes physical touch, but only from people he likes, namely Toby and Seed Eater.

Eyeless Jack always asks Toby if he can do something to him before doing it, like kissing, touching, biting, and so on. Toby doesn't ask permission because Jack said he's allowed to do anything, but sometimes he does.
