Oh by the three- of course this had to be a kidnapping.
Keep Zelda safe, that was his purpose in life; if he had to willingly fall victim to the mighty beast then so be it- her safety, the safety of Hyrule, was unfortunately of greater importance than sparing his family the pain of losing him. Confident for now that he had fooled the man, Sundira stood still as… Requested. He knew Zelda, he was perhaps the one person who knew her best of all; she would not struggle now, though she would desire to make this as difficult as possible she was regal. She was of royal blood, she would not falter in her grace nor would she risk the lives of her people.
He was currently risking her life however. Oh how he wanted to have her far from this room when he encountered their foe, though she was tucked safely away (for now) neither of them knew the damage this room could suffer from the dragon. Fear tingled along his spine, goosebumps prickled along the backside of his neck && the temptation to glance her way was strong- but he didn’t. Though internally quivering with trepidation he stood his ground, watched with an impassive expression as man became beast.
It was impressive, near awe-inspiring in actuality, but he would not allow the enemy to know; as if his pride needed to be inflated more! Though it wasn’t surprising, the dragon was rather large, prompting Sundira to step back a few paces in order to avoid limbs, && surely the bigger the creature the more room for pride && arrogance yes? “Pray tell, mighty dragon, what be the fate that awaits me? Surely you can share at least this information hm?”
His laughter was throaty, although inhuman, a gurgling growl that seemed filled with mirth to at least his own ears. He felt constricted in the tiny room, his body coiled like a snake to fit. Not for long, though, would he be trapped so. The walls already strained to contain him, the smoke of his breath filling the air at their feet and rising toward he creaking ceiling.
“You think I cared to ask?” He had been told only to TAKE the firstborn, not of what would happen to her next ;; and, to be frank, he didn’t care enough to find out. What concern was it of his if ill fortune befell her? Granted, though... he had not been given orders of DELIVERY, only theft.
And, he thought, he quite liked that REVERENT tone -- even if it was, likely, false. One claw hooked out and tucked behind the princess, drawing her nearer to the end of his snout and tucking her close against his chest.
“Don’t struggle.” He warned, his wings and haunches preparing to spring, claws careful of the mortal’s skin. “You wouldn’t want to FALL, now, would you?”
