THINGS IN SEASON FOR JUNE
FISH.—Flounder, mackarel, soles, mullet, salmon, perch, pike, plaice, prawns, shrimps, skate, smelts, tench, turbot, whitings, whitebait, haddocks, ling, lobsters, cod and crawfish.
MEAT.—Lamb, veal, beef, venison, brawn.
POULTRY.—Spring chickens, ducklings, pullets, tame pigeons and rabbits.
VEGETABLES.—Peas, new potatoes, asparagus, lettuces, cucumbers, carrots, cauliflowers, spinach, radishes and sea-kail.
FRUIT.—Strawberries, currants, gooseberries and cherries.
