Since you gave me the go-ahead to write more about Crowley in the rut, then I will continue. I didn't see Yuu as his object of interest, but I agree that Crowley would have suffered from the rut. He would become irritable, intrusive, and so on. With the object of his sympathy, he would be very...active. His favorite part, both during the rut and in everyday life, is to leave marks. From small gifts in the form of some shining trinkets to bites on the body and other things. He would leave his feathers in his partner's hair...(this is related to my other headcanon where he hides his feathers under clothes and with magic/potion). And much more. It seems to me that in a relationship with a loved one, he could behave partly like Gomez from the Addams, well, in bed too))
In general, it will take him a long time to calm his instincts. Not a night or even two. But the more satisfied he is, the less he requires direct intimate contact and just wants to spend time with his partner. And after this connection is strengthened, he, like a raven, will hold on to his partner. (crows are monogamous, They are also jealous and fiercely protective of their couples and offspring, grieve because of the loss of a partner, etc. (some corvids even arrange farewell ceremonies for a dead bird, like humans) + I associate this with the theory that Crowley is Raverne and he is related to Meleonor, but let's not talk about that...for now)

He probably finds himself enamored with shiny things in general, so giving them to a loved one is especially important to him... but yes!! I also agree with the close connection less direct intimacy thing you've mentioned, i think intimacy in the sense of comfort and love is something he seeks and actively desires .. and gosh, all of those relations to him being raverne makes a lot of sense to me ( ￣▽￣) i believe in that theory a TON, so idk, i think it might be hard for crowley to seek out a relationship in general, especially in relation to that theory ... but in rut, I think he is more open to vulnerability if he has a partner or a soon-to-be partner! I think his regular behavior of dumping tasks onto others definitely is shown even during his rut, but .. in a different sense ? I think fae have lots of hormonal changes during these times, so if he's clingy, he's going to throw himself at his partner. It's almost suffocating, especially if he's comfortable with his partner in a physical sense. Same thing with trinkets. He totally dumps a hoard of trinkets and feathers wherever his partner seems to be the most!! I also think he covers his feathers with the guise of magic, maybe if he's raverne, it might be even more so that he wants to conceal his identity from lilia's or malleus's recognition ... i think he represses a lot of himself in retrospect, even within personality all the way to his relation to overblots and yuu and potentially malleus!! With the way he conceals his face, its only to be assumed he could be hiding feathers under there too .... so with the fact that he hides so much, maybe a few more things could be discovered in the phases of his rut — just because hes more base there and has a harder time keeping everything down, such as his certain behavioral traits being more visible, his clinginess, etc ... crowley is so peculiar to me, i am so excited to learn more about him in general!!!!!! This is the first time for me to ask for this (I mean request in tumblr), but...what do you think of the idea of describing Crowley's bird rut (or smth)? I have a fat headcanon that he can be, at least partially, a harpy, with the habits of a raven. And although birds do not have the concept of rut like some mammals, nevertheless, it seems to me a very tasty idea.

“I-I found it in the grass, after gym. It didn't seem to have an owner, so I took it with me—but you seem pretty jumpy over it, is it yours—”
