his father always told him that manhattan is a dangerous city, so he walks around with his hands in his pockets to avoid people pickpocketing him

tommy boy loves his tea. whenever he makes a little extra one day, he’ll try to find tea for the cheapest price. it reminds him of his mother because she drank tea with him all the time when he was little.

tommy boy gets really cold in his sleep. he sleeps with three blankets minimum. but in winter, he looks like a damn marshmallow. he puts on a jacket, two pairs of socks, and has at least four blankets. he has been known to steal his fellow newsies blankets.
