*becomes everything I dreamed of when I was little and almost doesn’t notice*
There is no need to carry the burdens of your past anymore. Give yourself permission to let go.
What if all of your dreams do come true and that’s just a matter of time? What if you do get everything you’ve always wanted and then some more?
'I began to shower without figmented voyeurs pressing their faces against the glass and peering through my eyes. I began to ignore the shoes that bruised my heels and strained my ankles to their cupboard full of aches and dust. I began shaving when I wanted, where I wanted, if I wanted. I began to leave in the morning without glancing at my foundation bottle, and so it still stands, like a soldier half full with liquid (that never really was my shade.) I began to frown at the word 'diet', so alien from my own understanding had it become. I began to dress without the print of popular magazines and misogynistic tweets bleeding from my thumb into my wardrobe and shopping cart. I began to clip my nails short (if I hadn't bitten them to the quick already) because it made it easier to type, and the fake nails lying dead in my drawer stay soaking in the glue I have stripped from my skin. I began.'
'Beginning,' - Megan's Poetry #708
u ever wake up from a dream like “damn i guess i’m not coping with THAT as well as i thought i was”
Whatever you’re not changing, you’re choosing. Read it again.
Opinions aren’t permanent. It’s okay to change your opinion based on new information.
Friendly reminder: We’re all learning and growing.
I exhaust myself.
Please don’t forget…
“(…) it was a perpetual sensation of jittery, flayed exposure. I didn’t understand why it was happening. I didn’t think this was depression. It was such a novelty to feel so flinchingly raw, so laid bare; and the very newness of the feeling made it seem significant and ordained, something I had reaped. I thought it must be some necessary rite of passage, some trial by fire, long overdue. I thought I could work through it, engage with it, come out the other side.”
— Suzanne Rivecca, Ugly Bitter and True
“(…) the fear is already there, and has been for so long. The fear that all the edges and shapes and colors of the real world that have been built up again so painfully with such a real love can dwindle in a moment of doubt,”
— Sylvia Plath, The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath

the sheer amount of quiet i need in order to be able to function as a person is ridiculous
