This is an awesome display of a precision laser, but not how jeans or pants of any kind are made. Pants are always made with at least four main pattern pieces (two per leg) and jeans specifically commonly have a yoke in the back, plus a waistband with a zipper and pockets. Not to mention that the saddle of these “pants” wouldn’t fit anyone’s crotch. The flat nature of this art means it wouldn’t fold around or in between the legs. Roughly, pants patterns look like this:

This shape should be familiar from when you fold your pants in half before hanging. That pointy part is what gets stitched together to make a u-shaped saddle. When all four pieces are stitched together, those points should meet roughly in the middle of your body. How deep the u is, and how pointy affect the fit of the pants and how high the waistband sits.
