I would be on everyones side abt this reboot thing going on but last week I made a fire ass reblog and I do think that one specific should have its own likes and stuff I was really proud of it
i think the reason why the assassination of Julius Caesar is one of the funniest political assassinations is for this very simple reason:
1 guy stabs 1 guy: not funny. that's murder.
2 guys stab 1 guy: even less funny. that's two against one.
60 guys stab 1 guy: uproariously funny. why do you need so many guys.
The ppl long for tgcf
you know those posters for animated movies with zendaya is meechee ass celebrity stunt casting that always feel like a fever dream to look at. anyways im making those for hermitcraft heres what i have so far.
You know it’s getting bad when you start only sitting in the empty bathtub again
Thinking abt reading homestuck for the first time but last time I tried (like 10 years ago) I genuinely could not further out how to like… see the next part? Like I was just stuck on the opening page confused until I finally gave up
A tribute to the person who published the first frerard fanfic in 2003, you may have been misunderstood, but you were a visionary.
I feel like when I comment on a tumblr post, everyone stare in horror and confusion and then I realize I actually just commented and posted a picture of my ball sack that says “kick me”
I don’t like how I’m kinda expected to rewrite the first 20 years of my life just because I’m trans. I was the eldest daughter in a black household. I can’t go back and edit my history to say I was the eldest son, cuz that doesn’t accurately convey the certain standards I was held to. I was the only girl in my engineering class. I can’t leave out the “girl” part. It recontextualizes the entire situation. I don’t think either of those facts invalidates my current gender and I don’t think trans people should be expected to rewrite their own history in fear of that
Eraserhead baby makes waffles for you!

history fucked me up
oxford was built and operational as a college before the rise of the mayans and cleopatra lived in a time nearer to pizza hut’s invention than to the pyramids being built
I need a noncomprehensive history book that covers Known World History in time periods, like “in this century, all this shit was happening concurrently” and not just all spread out so I have to piece it together like some unpaid uneducated scholar
You mean like this?
The Timetables of History by Bernard Grun
I grew up with this book, which is frickin’ enormous, and it was endlessly fascinating to young me to pour over the side by side comparison of events taking place concurrently under different headings and in different parts of the world.
Or if you want something you can put on your wall, there’s this:
World History Timeline
I had this book! My grandpa gave it to me and it was really freakin useful!!
I loved this book! Same for The Timetables of Science: A Chronology of the Most Important People and Events in the History of Science.
Same for The Timetables of Technology: A Chronology of the Most Important People and Events in the History of Technology. Great references!
okay but here’s an even cooler (free!) visualization that goes a step further and tracks ideas, devices, infrastructures, and systems of power
Calculating Empires: A Genealogy of Technology and Power Since 1500
✨️with a special focus on colonialism, militarization, automation, and enclosure✨️
You can spend hours upon hours exploring this
