​Today was my first day at work, and it was a nightmare. They handed me 10 nonverbal autistic kids at the exact same time. It’s impossible to supervise them all at once, and the moment I tried to help one, the others would do something dangerous, to make matters worse, the principal told me to start hitting them to keep control, claiming abuse is the only way to manage that many kids. I told her absolutely not, called out the impossible working conditions, and walked out before the day even ended.
