You are literally just being a hater. You don’t have to like the album but you’re acting like people who do are stupid?!?! It was literally just meant to be fun after the downer of TTPD. It’s also more lyrically dense than some other albums she wrote.

Yes I logged on here to be negative and hater no you can't make me like the album and no I don't want to discuss the nuances of the writing because there actually aren't really any because the writing lacks depth almost entirely and where there is depth she ruins it by memefying herself and her lyrics which makes it incredibly difficult to take her seriously about anything she's saying

I fully recognize this album was written by the same woman who wrote folklore and evermore and she's not writing badly because of a man or a relationship she's writing badly because she didn't try because she doesn't have to because she knows people will listen and buy her album before we even hear it and because you invested so much time and money into being excited about the album that even if it sucks and it does you'll try to defend it because you don't want to feel stupid for pre enjoying an album that isn't good. She tried to experiment and try new things with this album and it ultimately was unsuccessful as an album she wanted to make something different and it she did and it was bad. This isn't because she CAN'T write she just chose to write badly. Like the melodies are bad the lyrics are bad it's just bad. Some of the songs are okay if you don't pay attention to how she just sounds like a self important billionaire who is deeply out of touch but as soon as you hear that you can't unhear it.

The fact that father figure is probably about Olivia Rodrigo is embarrassing you're mad at a 22 year old and you're treating her like your ex record label head treated you like she owes you something for whatever fucking contribution you had to her music honestly live long enough to see yourself become the villain Taylor
